I disagree with alot of your post but I also don’t want more classes (unless it’s scribe), fatshark should focus on the base game instead from now on.
Hard disagree. Aside from this just being a practical problem of Fatshark needing to pay the bills somehow, you’re talking about something that’s literally only a problem for a tiny minority of players (i.e. havoc tryhards), and that’s the last thing I want Fatshark to focus on.
Yup, being able to revive a team mate who is surrounded by flames or gas from a distance is incredibly useful, had more than a few occasions where it’s saved someone who would have died otherwise.
Same goes for the rescue option too.
Exactly my thoughts, I don’t ascribe to everything stated, but focus on other areas would be best now.
1.) Stealth isn’t under used or misunderstood. At least not in the Auric games I play. Stealth zealot is pretty popular. And I would say the medicae servo skull is better if we’re talking about just for team utility. Stealth is useful for boss damage and other things.
2.) Skitarii isn’t that frail? They have a lot of DR and easy toughness Regen talents. I am able to dodge slide into the fray pretty easily.
Scum isn’t as team focused but their right side talent tree to remove corruption and be corruption immune is very useful especially in havoc.
Arbitrator with their shock mines and spammable stagger and slowing aura are also pretty good for utility and team play. They’re a great front liner so you’re ranged team mates can keep firing.
And for Darktide in general, due to bad balance, most team helping abilities actually shine on high havoc. Auric is too easy that people don’t need to focus as a team much.
Unfortunately, the 4th class is happening and that’s a fact, sadly. The Skitarii tree has some interesting things for me, but none of the new melee weapons fit what I actually want. The difference between the DLC classes and the originals is huge especially when it comes to synergy. And it feels like the only way the new class will ever replace the Fantastic Four is if they nerf the old ones into the ground right before launching the last DLC class.
Yeah they are gonna keep milking the playerbase of money untill no one is left ![]()
There will eventually be diminishing returns, but I wouldn’t be surprised if besides the 4th, they’d make at least ~2-4 more.
NEW MAPS.
NEWWWW MAAAAPS.
It is not so difficult.
I dont have to use it myself to experience its effects genius. Its a blitz that affects the whole team.
Why would i ever use something that i know for a fact from experience that everyone else on the team will hate it?
But i guess you only care about yourself and dont ever consider how your nade affects your team so to your eyes the smoke nade is great.
Im not surprised. The train is a straightforward path where enemies can only come from 2 directions and you’ve to always move forward. So its obvious it would work pretty well there.
I do, at least. XD
We’ve had 3 classes added to this day and not one has an ability to protect the team from ranged units like the vet smoke grenade and Psyker shield.
I mean, do we not want the classes to feel different? Do we not want the original classes to remain relevant?
In any case, I would argue that they all have options for this.
An upgraded Nuncio-Aquila, while not quite as strong against range as a psyker shield, is still a pretty powerful team support ability against ranged attacks, granting respectable toughness regen, a hefty TDR, suppression immunity for the team, and more dealt suppression to make the enemy shooters shut up and take cover, as well as making it a lot easier to not be overrun by melee enemies at the same time.
The Desperado ability gives significant ability to rush down gunners and draw their fire (while being completely immune yourself)
And while I hear it’s somewhat buggy right now (I’m personally choosing to wait until the Skit frenzy has calmed down before I play them myself), Advanced Combat Doctrines can be really good at taking out the things that are a threat in the first place.
So these classes all have a respectable option for protecting their team from ranged fire, while not actually having to feel exactly the same as the original classes did.
This means Psykers remain to this day the classes being forced into the box of running shield rather than any of their other 2 abilities due to the fact that there is just almost no alternative.
Maybe it’s different in Havoc (I haven’t looked at that in ages), but I main Psyker and have played in many an Auric Maelstrom without anyone giving me flak for not running shield.
I mean, if I wasn’t there and it was some other class instead, they wouldn’t have a bubble then either.
No, I’m not offering much to directly buff my teammates, but that doesn’t mean I’m not a team player.
(I mean, a well-used Force Greatsword alone is a strong tool-kit for team play, having a heavy push that can completely interrupt high threat enemies even if they’re targetting a different player, and a special attack that can go through walls and hordes to dislodge hounds).
It’s not, all 3 abilities are constantly used in Havoc, the propaganda about “poor psyker is forced to run bubble to be relevant” is so untrue idk why they keep trying to spread it
100% agree. More maps.
No Mans Land got overwhelming support and likes. Needs to be more like that.
Let us take the fight into the spires. I put up a suggestion for a Spire type map akin to Rolling Thunder. Timed run to disarm a bomb that threatens to bring the spire down.
There are so many map types they can make.
Ahem… Voltaic emitter. Ranged enemies (only elites, and only when firing -This is a majour bug)… have their weapons malfunction for 12 seconds. This is intended to negate being shot for 12 seconds by those within 30m.
If it worked properly a sheild for team isnt needed because nobody is shooting at you.
Additionally power overload and power overflow just straight give toughness, regen and DMG. Another sheild isnt needed as the Ogryn is capable of being one and carrying one aswell.
Got the nail on it head.
The game is an unoptimized bugpile which needs to be fixed for the long time health of the game.
Buff the useless or weak weapons first and after every weapon at least useable on auric they can start the nerf buff dance for the havoc40 players.
Someone mentioned bills in this threads.
I would pay for the F’ck huge DLC to gain access to the “lost” second hive and start beating the genestealers or tzeentch cultist.
