I am almost about to do it the other way around.
I just started playing Vermintide 2 (I’d never played it before), and it’s so much better than DT.
The maps and environmental storytelling are better, and there is a real campaign with cool set pieces like Skittergate.
Necromancer Sienna is my favorite class in the tide games, with SoTT coming in second.
I prefer the slower pace and dangerous individual enemies of V2 when fighting hordes over Darktide’s constant special and elite spawn spam.
Sure, I understand that Vermintide 2 took years to reach that point, but everything in Vermintide 2, including the keep, environmental storytelling, and map design, is miles superior, and I’m extremely baffled about what happened to Darktide.

For me I think they opened Pandora’s box with sliding and sprinting. I both love it and hate it.
It is responsible for the design decisions I like and dislike about Darktide, while also making me enjoy VT2 less than I used to because I always have the urge to sprint.

I’m alright without sprinting in Vermintide 2 since it makes you appreciate your surroundings more (they look so much better than Darktide’s), makes deciding where to stand more crucial, and you don’t have the free get out of jail crutches (dodge sliding) when you get yourself into a bad spot.
See, that’s the part I like. I like having the extra tool in my kit, but I dislike how it has resulted in the game getting faster and faster to the point where it isn’t a tool I can use, but a tool I must use.
Like Warframe, I got sick of the slide jump thing to speed through every level.

some weeks ago was playing dt with sprint button unbinded (removed), and dodge removed too just for personal challenge, and made game way better and interesting
but yes vt2 it has so many things well done than DT.

2900 Aquil is such a pathetic handout for FIVE people that you can’t even redeem a full page of cosmetics per character.
I’d like to post a video of a dead psyker on the 40th hawok not sleeping on the elevated platform, but thrown further than necessary at the event with train traffic, but I’m lazy, but you keep doing cosmetics and not testing your own game
