And of course, people still want the grenade launcher for Kruber
If one character had chances of getting a whip, I’d point to Kerillian 1st.
Dark Elves:
- Sister of Slaughter having the Sword-Whip.
- Beastmaster having their iconic Spear&Whip.
Wood Elves:
- Skaw the Hunter: Having a 2-headed whip.
Witch Hunter I don’t remember any cases of them with whips (but by virtue of being able to use “exotic” weapons, I don’t think it’d change any precedent). As for Sienna, I don’t think there is anything that give precedent on it. So depend on what GW would allow or not
I’d argue that more ranged alternatives for a career that was supposed to be melee-only kinda kills the point of melee-only career. One ranged weapon is enough already.
Also making a DLC weapon that would only be available for a single career is a bad idea in general. And I’m not just talking about Slayer pirate pistol idea. Some of the existing weapon restrictions in this game already suck, without producing more.
Yes, if anything, Kruber absolutely should get a new ranged weapon. This has been one of the most requested additions for him, namely grenade launcher.
Perhaps if they created subclasses for careers with their own cosmetics, or to compliment existing cosmetics. I could Imagine a pirate Slayer that swaps a few talents for bombs, and a limited number of powerful pistol shots.
Likewise, I’m sure every career in this game has variants based on the premium cosmetics: Footknight: Knight of the Blazing Sun, Unchained: Burning Soul, WHC: Elithis Pilgrim, Handmaiden: Pheonix King’s Bodygaurd, etc.
Also, perhaps with tweaks you could make more: Shade: Bladewitch, Huntsman: Nuln Marksman, Mercenary: Ostland Blood-Brother, etc.
I highly doubt anything like this would happen this late in the game’s lifecycle, but it’s not hard to imagine for me. At the very least, I hope they have one big weapon’s DLC, to include new variants of existing weapons with alternative movesets, like a Greatsword that does more than chop left and right.
Maybe I just like the idea of being Sienna Unchained running around smacking rats and rotbloods with flaming bit of rope lol
At this point in the games lifecycle, it might be time to move on altogether and get new and/or additional characters altogether for a different game. But that of course would require finding entirely new game mechanics to work with, possibly an entirely new game engine depending on far the Devs want to push new stuff.
Iron wrought chains, much more fitting for Aqshy.
