Myr(pronounced like mire) is a death world.

Guards known as The Myr Marshmen

Very swampy, dark, poisonous flora and fauna.

Swamp monsters known as Gatoras roam and kill anything in sight.

if the vines and mushrooms dont kill you, the Gatoras, Pythors, or the dread Black Stalkers will.

Black Stalkers are large feline beasts with razor sharp claws and teeth who are the apex predators of Myr. Many aspiring Marshmen will try to kill one to attain a elite status amongst their fellow Marshmen.

Myr Boars, dangerous roaming pack animals, their hides are as thick as steel, often used as leather for armor and clothing on Myr.

Toxshrooms are dotted all over Myr, releasing a toxic spore that inhaled is fatal hence the rebreathers for all Marshmen.

The Symbol for the Myr Marshmen is the all white moth that is the most deadly creature on the whole planet, if you take your rebreather off and one calmly flutters past you and your squad, your all dead. This moth is known as the Death’s head Moth.

On Myr the only creature known besides Marshmen to kill a Black Stalker is Myrphants and the loathed Death dancers, large black spider like creatures with yellow lines striping their legs, toxic enough to kill a space marine or Myrphant in one bite from its venom packed fangs.

The Guardsmen from this planet are particularly resistant to poison and disease.

The Guardsmen wear all black armor adorned with candles only for leaders of a patrol to wear to lead lower ranking Marshmen in the the mist and fog, the fog and mist being so dense you can barely see infront of you. The candles also have become somewhat of a good luck symbol for the Marshmen, yes the stand out in dark, damp forest, but it also seems to ward off some creatures.

Marshmen Prefer the recon lasgun to the regular lasgun, although the M36 lasgun is standard issue amongst Marshmen, most Marshmen become excellent shots before becoming veterans, making them adept with the M36 lasgun. The recon lasgun is highly favored and choice fielded weapon of Veteran Marshmen, if using a regular lasgun its usually charged for high power shots that deal more damage. Another favored weapon of the marshmen is the Plasmagun, due to is ability to actually kill many of the beasts on Myr. Marshmen have a unqiue version that shoots a yellow plasma instead of the common blue. If possible Marshmen will field bolters, although its some what rare. Weapon smiths on Myr have also started and fielding their own lasgun, more streamline, all black, white moth symbol, more powerful then recon lasgun but slower to fire. These Lasguns are named the Myr Mark I Patern lasgun, until more verisons are available. The Myr I patern lasgun shoots purple lasers due to the materials found on Myr. The Myr Mark I’s taking a lot of inspiration from the recon lasgun.

The Myr Mark I lasgun has recently been issued to new Marhsmen recruits, it’s also recently been made, due to the induction into the Imperium. Recruits have mixed reviews about the Mark I, they praise its power but not the range it has, its exceptable for sure but they want to be able to shoot further away. The cost is cheap, the design is simple enough, easy to field strip and clean and repair. Like it’s cousin it doesn’t jam ever, the charge packs can be recharged just about any where or any way. It’s a cheap, reliable weapon. The Mark II is currently under production to add a few fine touches. The Mark Ia has the upgrades Marshmen have wanted, which is now being issued to veteran Marshmen instead of the Mark I. A Myr Mark I heavy Laspistol is still being worked out as well. With the introduction of the Mark Ia sergeants are now carring this as well.

Myr Mortars is also being introduced to regiments, due to the light infantry tactics and denseness of Myr artillery was considered but to difficult to traverse through the swamps.

Marshmen have been given Chimeras now that implement into their training now.

Marshmen recruits also have to earn their lasguns and rebreathers by spending one single night in the swamp as is tradition, they will sport autoguns until they return, if they return.

Most Myr milita men highly customize their autoguns for either bigger magazines or retro fitted to shoot bigger bullets, anything really to keep them alive.

The populace of Myr all have Grey eyes due to the lack of natural light.

The Black Armor of marshmen is made from Murk Ore found in the deep murky swamps on Myr.

Murk armor as it’s known, is more resistant then regular flak armor and also has infection resistant properties, aiding in the Marshmens natural resistance to infection and disease.

All uniforms of the Marshmen are meant to be water repelent and seal tight and yet some how still breathable, as well thick enough to keep the Swamp Swarmers out, giant blood sucking insects that can drain a regular human of all their blood in minutes.

Rebreathers are a must on Myr, even with the natural resistance to disease and infection the number of toxic plants and noxious mushrooms would kill a human in minutes.

Marshmen prefer chain swords due to the the thick vines that cover the planet.

Marshmen as profound alchemists making tonics or cures to the many infections or diseases found on Myr, this can be seen by the bottles adorned on their belts. Leaving some to specailize in alchemy becoming the role of medic to squads of marshmen, the alchemist not only cure poisons and infections but will cure battle wounds and similar injurys.

Myrphants are giant elphant like creatures with people living on the back like mobile towns for trading and travel.

Bog berries are the main food source of the people living on Myr, normally served canned, bog berries are packed full of everything required in a normal diet and they surprisingly don’t taste bad, being sweet and meaty in nature.

I like the dark style.

I think I never saw any Imperial Guard like this one.
