I am unsure if this was a balancing decision or some kind of a bug with spawn density, but last night I was playing damnation mortis trials having fun with the builds, but a bit bummed that it doesn’t get intense enough to warrant how insanely powerful you become.
As an experiment, me and my friends decided to jump into a malice mortis trials, and lo and behold the density was EXACTLY the same as damnation. Only discernible difference was that enemy health was lower as expected. It seems like the game is just not scaling up density with difficulty like it’s supposed to, so I’m wondering if all the complaints about the difficulty in the Mortis Trials are simply because the spawns are bugged and are defaulting to Malice spawns.
If it is not bugged, then I find it interesting that it was decided to have it scale so poorly in density with difficulty. It would be greatly appreciated by everyone to make the current difficulty options scale a little more to make them at least noticeably different from each other. Then adding an Auric difficulty that starts at the density we see in auric maelstroms and ends with the density we see in current havoc 30s to 40s would be amazing.
I didn’t have a ton of time to test all difficulties and see if any of them scale differently compared to malice and damnation, so if anyone wants to test that themselves and report back here that’d be helpful.
