It’s been almost 3 days since the new season launched, and I’m sure any serious player has cleared the Havoc 40 Spillway at least once, if not multiple times.
I believe that the moment we all successfully complete it, we’ll all agree that this is the kind of challenging endgame we’ve truly been looking for.
This makes me wonder, how long has it been since a map or mode that made us truly appreciate the importance of teamwork? How long has it been since we actually had to come up with a strategy and a proper build to beat the game? How long has it been since a map offered players a genuinely exciting Darktide experience?
If Spillway can give us so much enjoyment, why do we have so many maps with potential, but none of them are in the Havoc rotation?
Where is Rolling Steel? And where is No Man’s Land?
Yes, if it’s Havoc 40 Rolling Steel, it would take a truly skilled team working in perfect coordination to speedrun the map successfully. If it’s Havoc 40 No Man’s Land, the team needs a clear strategy to push through that open terrain without getting quickly taken out by countless gunners.
Yes, these maps will filter out a lot of self righteous players who don’t try hard enough, just like the Spillway did. But isn’t that exactly what Havoc 40 is all about?
Give us some more challenges. Start with the existing map.
Problem is, I haven’t cleared Spillway, people come to havoc40 and they die 1-2 minutes in the boss not knowing what to do. It’s just hilarious, I can’t carry that.
Also Spillway is probably the most narrow map excluding the boss area, so Shriek Psyker absolutely shreds.
Also I do agree with more maps. But the Train map is very short, I don’t see how it would be a challenge except many many bosses at the end… Which isn’t that fun.
had my first try today hav 40 with only randos and for what its worth it was a fail by a hairs breath. all knew the pattern but a small slipup can cause the match to go south.
ironically i was the last one standing as well but floor pattern said “no” to revive"
