The scoreboard changed DT forever. Once it was introduced, people no longer played as a team, together. They ran around chasing stats. It was a sad day but thems the times. This mod people use to pick players is ridiculous sicne that is why we get 1 minutes grace at the start of each round; to draft a team. For example: 4 Psykers with 4 Inferno staffs? 1 take a gun, use the Ammo maybe, if you want. 4 Psykers but want balanced team, and are open to teamwork discussion? Volunteer to change classes. In a magic world we have now 1 of each, balanced. Weapon loadouts too homogenous? Change to offer more balance (usually to balance smething to cover the DS users who Im getting bored laughing at as they mess their dodges, bounce around like a bouncy thing and die to 2 Pox) Or adjust ranged weapons. Likewise 4 DS, 4 Helbores maybe not a good comp, luckily we have 1 minute to adjust. Or just take a karkin crug (emptying ones liquid coolant). This mod, like the scoreboard, changes players behaviour and interaction. If you don’t ban it, people will decline others for the weapons they use BEFORE a game starts. I joined a H40 earlier with a Preacher, a Gun Psyker and a Vet. I was also Gun Psyker (with Scriers, a luxury as I usually run Bubble…). I offered to go Ogryn to balance things. He said he wanted the Gun Psyker and thats why he picked me. These toughbois lost 3 matches in the first room before I had seen enough to know they werent up to task and left. So not only is the game becoming a lotto with how much your teammates troll/how bad they are. Its a lotto before you even get into game, because some people will/wont want Gun Psyker, for example. But thats not even the problem, the problem is that we can draft before and during a lobby and its fun to work with people, and like the scoreboard this changes the behaviour in a much mroe toxic way. Being able to draft freely is good. Discuss. IDC about the flames or being added to your troll-lists. ---

This thread is a nuclear bomb waiting to happen. Also your reasoning is stupid? “Oh, we have the 1 minute lobby period, making it longer is bad”? People are going to eyeball your build one way or another, lobby or not, and get rid of you if they don’t like you, lobby or not. I’m not even talking about the whole “it’s a mod” thing. Your argument literally just doesn’t make sense to me. ---

I never noticed a change in behavior when the scoreboard mod was introduced. I don’t want to rehash the scoreboard thing………………. But as someone who did think the VT2 green circles had some negative side effects on new players……………………… I think the basic scored board mod for DT is much better than the VT2 green circles, and Power DI shoves so much data at you it’s basically impossible for a new player to get the wrong idea and chase the green circles. Personally I don’t see an issue with the mod to see equipment. It should be part of the base game. To add, sometimes I don’t want to play with certain other builds. It’s not a judgment on the others, but some builds are really hard on my eyes and some days I just don’t want to deal with it. I’d rather know in the lobby so I can drop out instead of finding out 5 minutes into the mission and having to disconnect. It sounds like you had a bad experience and think it’s a more widespread issue. If anything, your experiences seem to indicate there should be some extra time to swap out builds. Like if no one is ready the countdown stops instead of 60 seconds no matter what. ---

No idea what that means but a mod where players can deny others based on how theyre feeling a build will perform is a bad thing and should be banned. ---

But that wasn’t the purpose of the mod, and blaming people for griefing with it is ignorant of them finding some other way to grief you. Especially with how thin you’ve displayed your skin to be, I’m sure they won’t have a hard time making you rage at something else. Just don’t give it energy or oxygen and it stops bothering you. This can be applied to a lot more than just video games too. ---

Can you even call it griefing if it’s just… not letting you be in their group? There are way lamer reasons to not accept invites to a group or boot someone out than “having a bad setup”, and that reason especially seems pretty high on the acceptability list. ---

Yep they removed the scoreboard but added the toxic mode in the end. Quick play would be much funner even in low havocs ---

meanwhile SM2 has inbuilt scoreboard in the vanilla, and gives a little extra exp reward to the best players ---

Like the team and things working out, stick around. Someone being a bit funny, easy to just leave the mission and match make again in few secs. No need for vote kick or confrontation - Life too short. ---
