Lohner's Chronicles feedback

I apologize wildly for the offtopic, but this is absolutely wonderful - a portion of Kislev’s new background from TW3. Who is Kostaltyn of Kislev?

They cant stop - as do I.

Cant add more 3 post in a row - so UPDATE: story from today (11.06.21)

*NOBODY expects the Estalian Inquisition
2. More reconstruction of the Taal’s Horn Keep - is also good.
3. Sienna the Necromancer - is also very good. Take my money.

A fun little note that the explanation for why the cellar has been blocked for so long is that Lohner has lost his keys and he´s thinking about letting his architect just tear it all down and rebuild it xd

Talk about a strong reaction to realizing he´d forgotten to procure a spare key.

And Sienna hates anyone who goes off killing innocent people and bullying those much weaker than them…no wonder the family reunion skipped the “flying sparks” phase and went straight to blazing.

Now i cant help but wonder if she wouldnt actually like saltz a bit more if he was less crooked when it comes to “mortal crimes” and securing funding…after all he does do the whole “hunt chaos related evil” thing well.

Don’t you think it’s just me. I won’t have that. Every time Bardin calls one of us dawri – yes, even the elf – he’s renewing a promise that he’ll die before he lets us down. Should we head into the beyond before him, the last thing our killer will ever see is a flash of gromril and a very, very angry dwarf.

He may be a drunkard with a taste for trolls and a beard containing a lice republic but beneath all that he has a heart of gold. :innocent:

Even if that isnt very obvious while he is saving you from a packmaster by hammering both you and it with a trollhammer shot.

I’ll take the shot over a packmaster anyday.

I definitely want all the things described in the stories to somehow really reflect on Taal’s Horn Keep in the game, and not just be words.

Agree. But now that you mention it, I remember hearing strange ethereal singing once in the keep (since the DLC release).
Still waiting to see or hear Bardin’s brass horn though :stuck_out_tongue:
I caught Lonher singing over the mountains on the tube and it’s been fantastic.

Very strong writing! Enjoy it as much as the characters’ banter in game. Would be nice if we could also see it in game as audiologs or some collectable syth memorycrystals or smth…

Great little bit as usual. I’m just a bit perplexed they are following the seasons: a few posts ago it was winter, and it’s not like the Old World has that many years left…
I wouldn’t want this to end any time soon

I see what you did there :sunglasses:

Amazing, just amazing.

No, the unsettling thing about Marakza – if that truly be its name – is that there are hints within the journal that it ain’t exactly from around here. Chief among them? The journal-keeper was a bit of doodler and filled page after page with maps of the heavens. Only the stars ain’t right. Not for there, nor for anywhere else I’m familiar with, and that’s a pretty long list. Proper head scratcher that, so I did what I do whenever I’ve a problem worth inflicting on someone else: I asked Olesya.

You know what she said? That Marakza’s an echo of a city from somewhere – and some when – else. Swallowed up by the ghastly Realm of Chaos, she reckoned, and what was left got spat out near the Citadel of Eternity. Even suggested it might be worth a closer look, see if we can learn more about what happened there. Or will happen. After all, what if what we know as Marakza used to be Altdorf or Middenheim or whatever? Or will be. Or is. Or …

And if it isn’t, and what we know as Marakza is a portent of things to come? Well, I’d rather not know. How do you keep fighting a war that you’ve already lost?

I love it.

As usual - I want to hope - I want to believe - that these are not just words.

The future beckons me.

I’m so glad the chronicles haven’t stopped with the release of the Chaos Wastes. I’ve seen myself looking forward to the chronicles. Every friday, at some point, I stop and think “I wonder if the new issue of the Lohner’s Chronicles is out yet” and go to reddit/this forum in search of it.

Olesya’s still not happy about the state of the Weaves, but having only five operatives and a wealth of horrors to tackle means something’s always going to fall by the wayside.

…They just dedicated a section of their little story all for the sake of delivering the hidden message that they are too short on people&time to fix the weaves?

Guess I should intervene. I know, I’ll see if I can get the little devils interested in Kruber’s hats.

Poor Kruber, Lohner is attempting to sell him out.

It’s all go around here again. Saltzpyre’s taken it upon himself to convert one of the outbuildings into a chapel. Spending a good deal of his time in solitude, he is, and doesn’t seem at all inclined to share his thoughts.

Still, I’ve a suspicion he’d have a crack at preaching, were anyone inclined to listen.

Why does this feel like they´re hinting that good ol´saltz is getting more religious than before?
