We recently got messages in Darktide showing what’s happening when the game is spinning. However, AFAICT, these messages are very misleading. Here’s an example of Darktide supposedly loading data from disk and my disk showing a transfer rate of zero. This happens regularly. When using a mod to play solo I’ll hang on “waiting for other players”.
Are these messages supposed to be tied to reality or they just psychological progress bars to make us feel like something is happening? If they are just psychological, fine, but I want to know so I can stop debugging why things might be slow.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
- Play game.
- See status message while you wait to play.
