It’s something that bother me everytime i look at it, why the color of the pant is not the same as the rest of the gear.
From a cosmetic point of view i find it bad that the color doesn’t match the rest.
Is there any lore reason for that? imo all in grey will be far better so if not it will be great if fatshark could “fix” that.
There are…so many things wrong with the Krieg outfit. The whole thing is just…bad, like whoever modeled it faithfully recreated their Comic-Con Cosplay made from random cold war military surplus stuff, as opposed to being modeled on the actual Death Korps models.
The Gas mask is wrong, its eyepieces are too far down the mask (the eyepieces should be semi-circles starting at the helmet rim not full circles fully below the rim), its rebreather is lacking a hose to connect to the chest piece. The Chest Rebreather piece is wrong, it’s 2-3x the size it should be and clips into weapons and arms. The Webbing and Straps are wrong, they should be Y-straps. The Coat is wrong, it’s several sizes too large, wears like Daddy’s eXXXTra-Big coat, and isn’t long enough (tails should extend to shins, not knees). The Shoulder/Arm armor is wrong, the pieces are twice the size they should be. Etc ad nauseum.
That said, mismatched colors isn’t too huge a deal, you look at most military uniforms until the last couple decades, and you’ll find all sorts of shades in what are often supposed to be the same colors, as colors varied between production batches and over time and as inputs varied. But as a paid cosmetic, it does look odd for sure.
Alas, Fatshark doesn’t actually make these Cosmetics itself, it’s outsourced to a Chinese studio called Adia doing work at e-sweatshop rates.
So it could do double duty with the Krieg set but in blue released later. But yeah its kinda sad they haven’t reworked this set while making actual coats that work. Another embarrassingly common Steel Legion win I guess.
