Just ran into this problem on my new PC it’s so bad the only way to end the game is to shut down the PC. What is going on why is my game taking priority? It would be nice if I could force kill the process but it denies me each time.
Dig up Task Manager and end something called ‘CrashReporter’. That fixes it for me.
I had this problem somewhere early 2023. And now it has come back. When I quit Darktide, it’s still running in Steam. When I click on ‘Stop’ it greys out and it says ‘Stopping,’ but it won’t stop. When I check Task Manager, Darktide is not listed. I also have no 'CrashReporter" in it.
The only thing that worked is ending msedgewebview2.exe in Task Manager under the Services tab. But it only worked once. After starting and closing Darktide, the same problem occurs, and msedgewebview2.exe is no longer in the Services tab.

Nope. No Darktide or CrashReporter.
