I have crashed multiple times in a middle of a game. Usually near the end. I have only gotten one single complete game today

already refunded on steam, constant in game crashes. I even tried it on game pass with the same issues. i7 12700k, 3080ti 32GB ddr5

crashing 100% of the time, within minutes of loading into a mission, plus one on the mourning star. crashes were not this bad during the beta period. I am attaching all 5 of my crash logs for the 30 minute session I had on 11/30.

Issue Description:

Sometimes Crashes within 10 minutes of launching the game, while still in the mourningstar
Random crashes during missions
One in/immediately following the opening cinematic
Either get 30mins-1hr or 10 minutes of gameplay then caught in crash loop.
Happens at random times, could be while in my inventory, could be as soon as a horde spawns in, nothing consistent about the crashes Iā€™m experiencing

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, both on my HDD and SSD, verified game file integrity, always in the green, and yet I canā€™t play this game.

I played 3 missions without crashing with threads set to 1 (and horrible FPS, ranging from 30-60) and this crash happened right after I changed settings back to default

Requesting a refund on steam until the random crashing issue is figured out. The game was fun when it wasnā€™t in the process of actively crashing. I will potentially re-buy it in the future if you can figure it out.

Had some promising changes on Monday with the few patches there, didnā€™t crash entire day. With release now back to same crashes reported in other thread.

EXCEPT NOW THE GAME DISCONNECT TIMER IS DUMB FAST AND YOU ALWAYS LOSE YOUR POSITION IN GAME AND CANā€™T RECONNECT.

the crashes started happening a lot more during your final week beta update - and now still happens after release. Happens moments after joining a match in random match making.

Alienware laptop - M17 R4 - 10th gen intel i7, Nvidia 3080 GPU, oodles of RAM.

tried fresh reinstall of game, Reinstall the Visual C++ 2019 Redistributables, Run the Windows System File Checker, GPU is not overheating and not ocā€™d, lowered resolution to 1080 P, half thread count, no ray tracing, disabled apps on start up.

Issue Description:

Hi guys. I love this game and will keep it. I played the beta with a sharpshooter character up until level 8. Had no issues. A crash every now and then but it was good.

From about the 23rd Nov onwards (not sure of exact date), I had constant crashes EVERY time I loaded a mission from Quickplay. I could load up the game, and get into the main ship. Went to the mission selection screen on the holo display, then chose quick play. Got into the mission, played a few mins and then crash.

Interestingly, this corresponded with when I upgraded to Windows 11.

Same issues are now occurring after main release (1st Nov 5am AEST). Iā€™ve tried everything in this website - https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/7709667528349--PC-How-to-Resolve-GPU-Crashes-in-Darktide.

  • Min Specs seem to be met
  • Reinstalled GPU Drivers from full clean
  • Disabled any background apps (didnā€™t have any running)
  • Had no overclocks
  • No overheating of GPU / CPU
  • Changing resolution didnā€™t seem to work and tried windowed / full screen etc and still crashed.

ā€” I did however notice a spike in GPU usage occurs and power just before the crash itself. CPU is good though.

Also tried

  • verifying game files on steam
  • reinstalling game
  • turned down graphics to low

None of these seemed to work

Same issue occurs on Game Pass.

I have done all the steps listed about but it still crashes like crazy, whether I optimize using GeForce Experience or if I set everything to low. and now after I crash I can nolonger reconnect with my team and I lose the progress in the mission I am in. All I seem to be able to do is fill out crash reports.

Iā€™m basically the same as the person above me in terms of specs (3090, etc etc.), but Iā€™m also running Windows 11 at 1440p borderless fullscreen, or regular fullscreen, neither matters. I still crash.

It doesnā€™t matter what other setings I use as well. Low or high everything, DLSS or not. The only time I donā€™t crash is if I set my frame rate cap to 30 or 60. Using 120 or Unlimited no matter the settings will crash me eventually.

@FatsharkJulia Can you confirm that this issue is more widespread on Windows 11 or not? Several of my friends with almost identical PCs have no crashes, and they run Windows 10.
