It’s a little annoying that special heavy attacks of MkXv cannot stagger crushers. Also two-handed weapons, relic blade and thunder hummer can stagger crushers with activated heavy attacks, while using eviscerator they show no reaction. In that case you always have to do dodge before it deals full damage, it really doesn’t perform like a heavy weapon.
Currently named “eviscerators” aren’t. They’re just normal-sized chainswords. It should just be renamed to chainsword.
The “assault chainswords” aren’t chainswords, more like chain-machetes in size. They should be renamed too.
A properly proportioned (therefore deserving of the name) eviscerator should be introduced to the game. Large, unwieldy and slow, but incredible reach, impact, and cleave, all of which should compensate for it’s poor mobility and slow swings in the hands of a competent player.
Killing an enemy with it should also cause suppression on closeby shooters who get scared from witnessing the zealot maniac swinging an oversized industrial-grade demolition tool around. And kills should quite literally occur from it tearing limbs off of enemies left and right. The visuals are important. Make it feel like it MURDERS stuff. They need to toss arms, heads, and legs off in all directions when you swing it into horde.
Anyone who disagrees needs to listen to this music for 10 hours:
all of this exactly, yes. I’m less interested in making a super overpowered weapon and more just one that gets the style and feeling of using a heavy eviscerator to tear through giant swathes of enemies right. it’s one of the most iconic weapons in 40K, the fantasy is important! they did right by Bolters and they can do it again
Give me one with same slowness (and power) as the branx pickaxe and I’ll be happy
You have to find openings to use rev attacks, typically after the enemy attacks or force a crit to stagger crushers (like with dash ult)
I think it is ok as it is.
But is an interesting opinion.
