# Inquiry About Cross-Platform Account Progress for Darktide

I’ve been a loyal fan of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide since its launch in 2022. I originally purchased the game on Xbox (via Microsoft PC), but over time, I’ve encountered some challenges like frequent Xbox Live crashes and slow updates. Because of this, I decided to repurchase the game on Steam, hoping for a smoother experience.

However, I’m now wondering if there’s any way to transfer my Xbox account progress to Steam. I’ve spent a lot of time and money on cosmetic items on my Xbox account, and while I know there’s a mirror account feature, it would mean losing two years of progress and purchased items, which I’m hesitant to do.

Has the team considered implementing a cross-platform account system? Something similar to what Warframe offers, where a single account can be used across platforms like Steam and Epic. I think this would be a great addition to the game and make it even more accessible for players who switch platforms.

Hi! It’s something I would like, too, but I’m unable to comment on whether or not it will happen.

I will advocate for it, but I’d rather be honest in that I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

Thank you so much! While I also believe it might take years to happen, I truly appreciate you giving me a glimmer of hope. I really wish it could happen sooner—Microsoft PCs and their endless issues are genuinely frustrating lmao
