# Immediate Crash on launch, AMD Cleanup utility no help either

### Issue Type (Required):

Crash - After Building Shader Cache

### Issue Description (Required):

Immediate crash while trying to launch, Building Shader crash gets to about 98% and then tells me AMD is blocking access. Happened like three times in a row and kept doing it despite basic troubleshooting like verify cache integrity on Steam, Using the AMD Graphics Clean tool and restarting.

Not sure what part of the Graphics Drivers it doesn’t like. Was working the day before and had made no changes since then.

The crash occurred in module ‘amdxc64’. This module is related to AMD graphics driver. If this is a recurring issue you could try AMD Cleanup Utility tool [Drivers and Support for Processors and Graphics](https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601) to see if that helps.

Hi Claude, indeed this is a persistent driver-related error. My recommendation would be to roll back to an earlier driver version, perhaps 25.9.1 which is considered to be quite stable.
