…It doesnt have Dueling Sword and Dual Las Pistols
Otherwise Im having fun with the class
Now before you cry out (or since some might have already have at mention of giving Ganger the DS) cool yer jets! Let me briefly explain.
All I wanted for Christmas was to cosplay as a Discount Kal Jerico, who uses Dueling Sword and Dual Las Pistols. Sure, the Heavy Sword looks the part but I honestly dont like it very much. The dual stub pistols are, however, pretty ace. I would still prefer to get closer to canon Kal. Normally I dont use the DS but in this case I would rock it with my Jericola.
I feel like this is something they should just do with Veteran, they already have the ‘las weapon focus’ (one node) and the DS, just let him hold two! He needs the help at this point anyway! (and I can see it ‘lore wise’ being ‘hay, the scum is doing it, I can’t be out done! uh uhh randomly grabs another las pistol’.
Lasguns are definitely one of the things that Veteran should do best so I don’t agree. Hiver is already pretty spoiled for choice and even has 2 more weapons than Arbites with the DLC pack. And since it’s new it didn’t have one of its exclusive weapons ruined by giant HP buffs and no rebalancing (oh man that 4 shot Arbites shotgun is hot trash).
I am completely disappointed with them too, but for different reasons
They suck, and I do mean they just dont meet the gold standard of what a havoc class should be. They struggle with armor, and the “answer” to armor is a missile launcher that SUCKS. everything besides chem nades sucks about this class to its “exhaust” mechanic to its gameplay style, and why is desperado the only skill in the game that isnt cooling down during activation? charge zealot relies on mechanics like this and this class feels similarly reliant on being able to get the cooldown lower on desperado. not to mention the stim mechanic…. you are pigeonholed into one direction for the stim because if you add multiple layers to the stim it jumps from 45 sec cd to 75…. such a massive trade off. This class feels like you need either stim or desperado going to be able to survive much so its a huge let down that this class feels so weird and clunky.
Alternatively they could just balance it properly by removing the insane damage and stagger on heavy and special attack. It should work well vs horde, but it really shouldnt be killing bosses and armoured on pokes.
I was using the needle with chem grenades last night and I feel a nerf incoming especially on the grenades. Id nerf them by reducing the aoe time on the ground.
Difficulties in DarkTide should be like they are in Vermintide 2. Auric should pose a serious challenge to people who are not acquainted to the game’s mechanics, enemies, weapons and how they all interplay with each other. Auric should be the ultimate challenge for casuals and a fun time for experienced players.
Now Havoc should be like Cataclysm and above (Onslaught mod) and be reserved for absolute sweats who crave a challenge. If DarkTide was balanced like that, literally everyone would be happy, not just me, but also you too.
