As a player not affected by this change directly I still feel it is hugely wrong. Just like in L4D there was a lot of work done into making killing satisfying and more dynamic when replayed with the variable violence. This just kills so much of that entertainment value for toothless 90s over-protective mom nonsense while their TV has literal porn and the same violence if not worse in it. What a disservice to the people you already sold the game to on this relaxing experience of virtual and visceral fake over the top violence.

I didnât make the refund appeal yet, planned to do it later before going to bed, just wanted to play one match to calm down because my entire day was garbage and darktide was my comfort gameâŚ

I did try to install the uncut mod that was uploaded on nexus yesterday, maybe i did something wrong and it got me banned?

i want the reason as to why Austria is getting the ragdoll censorship, as it is not in any way needed by any law or anything. We never had anything censored and if you want a direct comparison Dead Island 2 ragdoll interaction censored in Germany but NOT in Austria. Because again, we dont have censorship like that.
Maybe try untoggling your mods using the batch script and see if your game loads after that

two major differences though:
first game wasnt released in germany as a cut version at the time cause the developer had the balls to say fâ your meaningless sales, we dont bother castrating our game for one country having its panties in a twist.
still got the mail with the us import key in my shortcuts, activating it with one time vpn worked like a charm and is doing so ever since.
the most hilarious thing?
dead island remaster for around 5⏠was advertised on steam last year completely without fuzz.
bought it out of sheer spite as well just to flip the bird at the once no-no bad game censorship.
graphics have somewhat improved though some effects look better on the original one.
so in short, you knew before the game wasnt officially gonna be released and prepared accordingly BEFORE.
like listening to enemy radio you know the frequenzy to tune into.
second game:
got a castrated release here in good ol germany, you knew BEFORE about the censorship and didnt touch it with a ten-pole.
made a new epic account especially for dead island 2, purchased the austrian version and revelled in beautiful corpse-soccer.
Bonus: the possession of any media of that category is LEGAL in germany (as if one would care at that point) only distribution (foreign store laughs in $ having no physical placement in said censor-hole) and advertisement isnt âallowedâ
