Havoc doesnt respect out time. You finally rank up then you instantly get Twins + 1 normal +2 minibosses on a tight corridor with 1-3 Tox Bombers chilling in the back.
The group finder is also missing a lot of features as others pointed out.
It gets better, since the last update i’ve noticed bombers now throw their grenades through walls sometimes
Im already havoc 40 and this is the easiest season by far right now, since no Rotten Armour ,no Garden. It’s easy.

I already have 40 after the 4th or 5th time now with a pre-made. The point of this post is to get rid of the de-ranking & restructure how it functions. Who wants to keep climbing to 40 & de-rank a million times before getting 40? Nobody, it’s the most anti-fun system I’ve ever seen & especially for a PVE game. This isn’t a competitive game, I don’t see the purpose besides p/ssing people off. It’s completely pointless… I think the vast majority of people on here don’t want it. It doesn’t even gatekeep bad players out of the mode anyways… It’s dumb. I just want to play 40’s, not rank up to play them, wasting endless hours.
To make it restrictive, it has to work like this: suppose a player has completed a mission of difficulty level 20; now they can create or join a game of difficulty level 21 and no other. Neither an easier one nor a harder one. At the same time, no playing with friends — only with randoms. And, of course, the rank for each character is calculated separately. Also, changing a Melee Weapon, Ranged Weapon, Ability, Blitz, Aura, Keystone, or a type of Curio subtracts one point from the rating and from the difficulty of the available mission. For example, if an Arbitrator player completely changes their build, they lose 10 levels. But if, after failing, they revert everything back, they also restore their maximum rank.
That’s the thing, it doesn’t have to work like this… @MadMartigan suggestion is actually not bad at all. Seems reasonable enough in my mind.
I am happy there is deranking so I can actually have quality games and if shifting through 100 noobs immediately applying to my havoc 40 at prime time is the price, gladly paying it then.
I see you play with friends and are complaining they don’t want to grind Havoc 40?
That’s fine, they don’t want to tryhard and playing easier difficulties is just as good. It’s a you problem if you don’t want to play something easier with your friends.
I’ve got two friends that play from update to update unlike me and I’m happy to play 20-30 havocs or just the Auric board to have fun with them.
Besides, just playing an Auric Maelstrom gives you Havoc 16 I believe?
Having fun doesn’t mean you have to play at Havoc 40.
I do have builds that are only for Havoc 40, but picking them for easier missions and so on is just overkill.
So I made a lot of fun builds to play with my friends when the are online.
Besides, I believe it’s very fair if you don’t have a 33% winrate to be placed in lower difficulty.
Generally speaking, it’s not that difficult to reach level 40 the day after an update, which is especially true for four skilled players, although it does get quite boring to repeat the process over and over.
I literally switched to a pre-made for this exact reason for Havoc’s… lmao. Although, the quality is slightly better, granted, it still stinks. That’s the thing… fun is very subjective, for me, I don’t want to play anything really under 35’s at the very least. I personally love hard sweaty games. Some people might not like that, but for me… I love it. I don’t enjoy the grind every season, just to get 40 & have to repeat it again. That’s my entire point, it sucks. They could absolutely restructure the way it functions, but mostly likely not, right. So, I’ll have to swallow my pride & take it up the @ss. People have made pretty reasonable suggestions as to make that work, which makes sense.
