# Game crashes after Building shades

Game crashes after the Building shaders finishes compiling, game screen will come up black and then crash after a few seconds

## **Reproduction Rate:** Once - Rare (\<10%) - Unusual (\<25%) - Common (\<50%) - Often (\<75%) - Constant (100%) 100%

Could you please try launching Darktide directly via the .exe (as opposed to via Steam), and screenshot any errors that appear?

The path to the Darktide.exe should look similar to this: `Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\binaries`
