Why did you censor the word “nerfs”?
Maybe I’m not zooming far enough, but I don’t see anything!
- You will start receiving a winning streak bonus on your 3rd consecutive win, and maintain the bonus until you face defeat.
This is just auric storm survivor again, people in pub are gonna leave even more now just to keep their win streak
Dude speedrunning community interaction huh
Snap…gotta get this latest version decompiled so I can dig in the guts!
Ooooooh ! Interesting !
Haven’t done an exhaustive look, and this may not mean anything at all, but this patch all of the enemy visual loadout templates were reorganized into dedicated breed folders (e.g. chaos, cultist and renegade).
!!!
thanks to %$%^ #€$%$ %#@% that ask for systems just to annoy players…
I just want to play a class… and still I hurt the wall of these levels of mastery, of skills etc. Really, if there is one thing that annoys me this is the ^%$^$ Fatshark attitude to always want putting walls to get the pleasure of playing the game.
While there’s a lot of good this update, namely a new permanent map(?) and an event with earnable aquilas. There’s still no mention of Solo Mode and it’s absurd.
Edit: not sure if it’s a new map, could just be a new mission on an existing map, but whatever. Still no solo mode so still no playing for me. Thankfully TQ2 is getting an update tomorrow so I’ll be playing that
All trees reset. Why?
Seriously, this happens way too often and it’s a pita.
as i said above, there should be a way to back up builds (better than making a picture of the tree).
one should be able to import config files directly into the game, for example from gameslantern or wherever you save them.
(sure these work only as long as fatshark doesn’t change the tree itself)
and players should still know their builds and especially why it’s those nodes and not others. but it’s annoying to have them wiped without warning and redo them manually, at least when you have several.
I’m not sure I agree on players having to remember all fine points of all builds. I spend a lot of time in the talent tree menu, as I like tweaking builds. But if you’ve got 5 characters with about 6 builds on average each, not all of them are going to be fresh in memory, simply because you won’t have touched all of them recently. Sure, I could rebuild/redo all of them, but why should I when the tree layout hasn’t changed?
On the export/import build functionality I fully agree, at least in principle. Going to be hard when the tree layout changes, though.
But here’s the thing: I haven’t noticed any layout changes at all. And even if there were, unaffected parts of trees should be… unaffected, aka not wiped. Fatshark is becoming more and more liberal with these tree wipes and it needs to stop. Because every major (and recently even a very minor update!) feels like an administrative chore to prepare for and catch up on: first to make tons of screenshots, then to rebuild all trees.
I have been playing since beta and haven’t been a vocal complainer, but I find it incomprehensible that this aspect of the game is going in the wrong direction, let alone that there’s no decent fix for it. I’m pretty sure administrative work is not the experience this game has been developed for, and I’d really like to know why I’m putting in all this work, again.
At the very least, put a warning in-game about an immanent tree wipe!
Agree, huge bummer. Must be some kind of daemon in the talent tree implementation that even trivial-seeming updates nuke them.
For some I understand it’s not a huge issue, we know who we are
. Playing with my friend who isn’t nearly as familiar, they are seriously annoyed when the talent trees are nuked because they have to take the time and energy to re-do everything when it’s completely nonsensical that it’s all been reset.
Seriously, fix that bug.
One new map in exchange for having potentially 30+ builds to redo with no reason or warning. Yeah I dunno chief, seems like a pretty bad trade.
Might unironically be more of a disincentive to return to the game for many. I was actually a little excited for Ganger but between the talent tree wipes and all the “lol this aspect of the paid class doesn’t actually work correctly at release we’ll fix it soon we pwomise” I don’t think you do deserve more of my money, actually.
Edit: Upon reflection I was being perhaps a bit too mean. It is good to have the issues told to us up front rather than just finding out though bug reports, and like half of them are talent description issues which is relatively minor. These + accidental tree reset is still definitely not a good look though and puts an unnecessary damper on this update/DLC release.
As a side note I’d be a lot more keen to buy new classes with a functional solo mode to play around with their mechanics and level them up at my leisure. Real shame there’s still no sign of that.
I was so excited for this DLC, but I don’t even want to launch the game let alone buy the DLC since all my talents are reset again - for like the third time this year.
Another Quality release? Really?
Thanks for the new map / paided-class but what about better quality of the game before releasing an update? Mean more testing on stuff u touched, shall be manageable.
That would be huge FS.
Furhter,
Why did all my builds / presets get deleted again?
Whats the purpose?
Crashing all around the games, especially in havocs.
I guess FS dont need to reset havoc levels when the game state after release also deranks a lot of people regarding to the amount of bugs / crashes t}at will happen.
