Fatshark, a critic about enemies, hordes and missions

A) About enemies
B) About missions
C) Thanks for the good things.

I am an “old good gamer”.

I have 42 years old, I play videogames since I have 2 years old (my father was not very responsible).

I am a programmer, and I want to become a full time game developer.

Said this, I am not saying that I am the person who knows most aboud videogames, or I am right in everything.

I gave the idea about the “creep bar” to Vermintide 2, so you can “call” AI reinforcments, as rat team.

I just need to say this to Fatshark:

I started playing when Auric was already, but before Havoc existed.

A) About enemies:
I liked the enemies, I thought that talking about Nurgle, you could create more creative enemies, just look at the tabletop game, and you can copy, you don’t even need to imagine anything.

Each time the players needed more difficulty you just throw at our face more and more enemies of the same type.

Or same types but with “auras” and things like this.

The new enemy… a man with a plasma gun… well… meh.

Look at this nurgle things:

BUT NOT ONLY THAT, “gangs” would have been a nice new type of enemy… but you gave it us as character…

B) About missions:

Why i have to play same missions, again, again and again.

It is so difficult to create new levels?

Why is Vermintide 2 getting so many new levels?

We… NEED new levels, or our brains go zombie.

C) I appreciate the good things you do. Because you do big and nice ones. This game basically, the humor the game has, etc.

We complain about things of this game, because we like this game. So, thanks for creating Darktide (and Vermintide 2).

THANKS FOR READING.

Peace and good.

EDITS:

  • Enemy psiker, Captain with nurgle limbs.

  • At this point we should get 3 new missions, not only 1.

  • Enemy psiker.
  • Captain with nurgle limbs.

They’re busy working on map creation for Mortis Trials and developing pointless modifiers like Havoc’s Stims.

It is as if they can sell classes but not enemies, and that they’re done by different Devs…

New enemies really do bring new gameplay avenue, but they also take quite a while to be ready (FS need to grow bigger, but seeing as they’re limited by their own engine, I don’t think that it will happen at a short notice.)

FS should introduce new mobs more than new specials/elites tbh. Increasing the number of “normal” enemies would make it more possible for the Mission director of making the Elites rarer and easier to balance out.

Interesting idea.
