# Fatal Error message upon mission completion

**Issue Description:**  
I got a fatal error bug in windows after finishing the smelter mission. Then when trying to quit the game crashed

Only had this happen once so far, I’ll update if it happens again

Smelter mission (forgot exact name) on Malice difficulty

**Platform:**

Once - Will update if it happens again

It looks like your game files may be corrupted. Please try _Verifying Game File Integrity_.

1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
