One pivotal aspects of berzerkers in Fatshark’s past games, is that they have extremely high damage and fast attacks, but once their attack chain is over, they have a cooldown period during which the player can safely attack them.
In Darktide, there is no such thing. They have no downtime (or it’s so ridiculously badly choregraphed that the player can’t tell the difference)
And half the zerks are now armoured too.
And they don’t have any audio or visual cue to announce their presence.
In a game where you have to deal with so many more threats than VT, where enemy ranged units act as real area deniers, this is quite the frustration.
The safest way to deal with them is from afar. Before they reach you, or once they target a friend, or if you find a ledge hop around.
