Darktide wishlist 2026-27

Hello there! Noname with 3100 hours in that game want to share his opinion about what this game need for being better in next years. Prepare yourself for reading wall of text.

Mortis trials.
Half baked. Add infinite waves option.

Expeditions.
Half baked. That was perfect opportunity for introducing 500 rating curios. Buy and upgrade them for techremnants. Maybe with round numbers on them (+25% hp or 20% toughness), maybe with some small extra perks on them (like 1% ammo every 20 sec or 1 toughness regen every 5 sec, something like that). Idk how implement them.

Havoc.
Good,but 2 points pisses me off.
First - demotions. Remove them and ppl will play that mode more often. No need burn nerves in game, for that irl life exist.
Second - Rotten armor. That infinite green clown train need to be stopped asap. Not because it’s extremely difficult (someties it does yes),but because it’s immensely sloppy and grindy (1 hour games is bs tbh).

FOMO shop
One week rotation.

Classes

Zealot:
Replace bleed talents on burn stacks. That’s will his signature DoT, 3 classes already have bleed talents. Add little bit diversity.
Additional weapons:
Only one in mind - Brazier of Holy fire. It’s power weapon designed as torcher, in theme with burn stacks in talents.

Veteran:
Only one ult is good and that’s is Voice of Command. No matter how hard that ability will be nerfed it’s still provide so much for the team.
Replace Executioner stance with some sort of Auxpex scan (space marine 2 tactical class ability is good example). Ten seconds duration, in stock marks all specialits for team (+20-30% dmg against them and restore some portion of toughness when someone kill marked enemy). Three additional nodes provide markings for chosen type of the enemy, only one additional type can be chosen. Maybe you want deal more dmg against ogryns, maybe againts gunners and etc.
Replace stealth with smoke bomb. Just use Bardin Ranger ult from VT2 as example.
Additional weapons:
Hotshot or volley guns - heavily requested on forum, and my personal favorite gun from that setting. Let us brrrrr enemies even harder.
Maybe power fist, dunno. Suppose to be very clunky but punchy.

Psyker:
My only concern it’s his staffs, only Inferno staff is good. First about that imbalance stick - add cleave limit like on plasma gun from recent patch.
Voidblast staff - full damage on charged attaks, charge on affect radius but always deal full damage.
Voidstrike staff - infinite cleave on charged attacks, even against armor.
Electro staff - 2-3 targets full damage cleave. Blessings works on charged attacks.
Psyker suppose to be glass cannon, but we just burn things all the time.
Additional weapons:
Beam staff from VT2. Just copy that.

Oh, and, almost forget about it, revamp Smite concept entirely. On tabletop and in the lore Smite is close range lighthning nuke capable of wipe entire squads in second,not constant purple bs rave generator. Just make them deal very high damage with 50% peril generation. And we will have 3 choices - long range BB, mid range warp shards, and close range Smite.

Ogryn
Point blank barrage- add ~ 25% lucky bullet procs to the ability. Ability still atrocious, idk how many times this need to be buffed for being good.
All melee weaponry: little attack speed bust,maybe 10-15%.
Additional weapons:
Autocannon - embrace little artillery turret embodiment.

I still think it’s kind of outdated with how stationary it wants you to be compared to the pace of the game, but it is absolutely a lot of fun to click heads with it.

In a priority list going from highest to lowest:

No new gamemodes.

No work or attention on any existing gamemodes except for the main missions.

Undo enemy health increases from 2025.

New weapons. (Not Marks And not generic uninteresting junk, unique interesting weapons like the 3 dropped in 2024 with Grim Protocols). ((I would even buy weapons in DLC packs at this point if that’s what it took)).

New blessings for weapons.

Zealot rework. (A real one this time).

New Infested, Unarmoured and Maniac enemy additions.

Arbites dog rework. (Including the two dog Keystones and Dog Bomb).

I definitely agree that they should just use what they did with hive scum as a basis for a zealot rework

Especially perks for specialising into fire

Hs especially specialising into melee feels like a much better melee berserker than the actual zealous melee berserker class who’s only standouts are their 2h class unique melees.
Zealot really needs a lot more perks that rewards you for just getting stuck in and not focusing on rewarding dodging and blocking

The wishlist for the future is:

  • More main missions
  • More weapons
  • More enemies
  • More STAVES
  • More Sefoni
  • Felinid class
  • Put more models/colors for weapons and armor in the docket cosmetic shop

Darktide is at it’s best sticking to the bread and butter, the missions and combat. Most of the issues in the hub have been taken care of now, aside from the non-premium cosmetic shop needing to be fleshed out a bit and maybe melkbux needing a use aside from curio gambling.

This should not be called bait and it is becoming anoying people say this on the forum just to farm likes.

Just to get the facts straight, Psycker, veteran, HiveScum (and ogryn is debateble) all get better numbers across the board. If you get better numbers on arbi that means your a bad player. And that is with using lonewolf, dog is even worse.

But everytime someone says this it is bait.

I suggest additional talent tree for dogs, like hive scum chemical lab. With removing all dogs talents from cop tree. Let us castomize our boyos.

My wishlist:

1.) at least 3 new, proper full-length adventure maps.

2.) A combination class/weapon rebalance and density rebalance. Rotten Armour is only a symptom of this underlying cause, the power has creeped and now we’re steeped in way too many Ogryns. I find this funny since when the game first came out I was like ‘give me more Ogryns to fight’ and the monkey’s paw curled.

3.) Deranks removed from Havoc. Bonus points for a quickplay option, I’m willing to suffer in lieu of deranks.

4.) New enemy varietals, patch the gaps in the dreg roster and give infested armor-type a reason to exist.

5.) Improvements or an entire rework for Mortis Trials, new maps. Auric trials is really easy as long as you don’t get the 3 plogryns objective wave or constant bursters.

5.) Something that actually moves the story forward instead of sideways.

6.) Either give us red weapons or change the stats to go up to 100%, even if that just means changing the UI, you’ve been teasing us for several years now so either commit or get off the pot.

7.) They should probably try and fix expeditions but ugh, I’m just tired boss.
