# Darktide sometimes doesn't get window focus

**Issue Description:**  
When I start darktide sometimes the game window will not appear. I play in fullscreen mode. Sometimes it will do a strange thing where it will center the mouse on the screen and if I click then the window will show up on the windows bar and I will then be able to click it to enter the game, other times that will not happen though. Often I’ll have to try boot the game a couple times, closing it through task manager between tries. It hasn’t always done this, I think I must have changed a setting at some point which caused the issue.

No recent monitor switch. I run 1440p on a 1080p monitor though and switched it up to 1440p at some point.

It depends on your screen set-up what the correct value will be, but to start with you could try changing `fullscreen_output` in your user\_settings.config to 0.

I have just the single monitor. It appears to already be set to 0. It does appear twice though. I’ll upload my user\_settings if that might help.

One of our developers say you may need to experiment with window modes.

You may also wish to try disabling your mods, to see if that could be related.
