# Crashing the Official World

the game crashes when starting the official world, when starting the mod everything works fine, reinstalled the game 2 times and checked the files, do not work with disabling the firewall and antivirus

Hmm, as you are able to play on the Modded realm this suggests the issue is with Easy Anti-Cheat.

I’d recommend repairing Easy Anti-Cheat, which can be repaired using the EasyAntiCheat\_Setup executable located in the Vermintide 2 ‘installers’ directory. The path to this directory on your PC will be similar to this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

In this situation, it can be helpful to perform a ‘Selective Startup’. A ‘Selective Startup’ ensures nothing other than the essential services are running on your PC, and can help identify whether an application running on your PC is interfering with Easy Anti-Cheat. To do this, please:

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
5. Reboot your PC
6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists
