Chaos Wastes Mod!

A mew mod I made in sort of a beta release for the public. It allows you to tweak various parts of the Chaos Wastes, an experimental feature, you can play campaign missions in the Chaos Wastes. Chests of Trials can appear where Grimoires and books go. Normal pickup locations will have coin and chaos wastes potions, and the remainder are altars for upgrading weapons or getting random boons.

• Toggle any campaign mission into the random map pool — grouped by DLC (Helmgart, Back to Ubersreik, Shadows Over Bögenhafen, Karak Azgaraz, A Treacherous Adventure, Verminious Dreams, Reikland Tales, The Curse of Drachenfels, Winds of Magic) plus Event Missions (Fortunes of War, A Quiet Drink, Feast of Grimnir).

Oh. Huh. That’s clever.

I was having issues with CW maps being so sterile after a while, even if many of them have like ~10 variants total - especially terror-events wise (with the majority of objectives featuring just defending a circle in the middle of the arena/tossing barrels…), but this is really cool.

Whoa, this looks awesome, I will try it out!

Highly experimental. I found if the number of levels players have doesn’t match, you can’t play with friends. Try turning the “Adventure Missions in Chaos Wastes” toggle off prior to joining, then once you’re all in the same lobby turn it on. I’m working on a lazy initialization, and I pushed an update for it, but if you run into issues, then that’s a good workaround.

Since altars spawn in locations you can find pickups (ammo, potions, bombs, ravaged art, collectibles, etc.), I have settings for how many, might turn it up a bit, like at least 2 to 3 of each. It can be difficult to find them. Really have to explore anywhere where there were pickups.

Expect bugs and crashes, but I played through with a friend, and it was pretty fun, and a very long but satisfying run!

EDIT: If you crash or get a WARNING/ERROR in the log while playing, send me your log
