Classrooms interesting I kind of like it, a bit disappointed as I’m sure we all are that it wasn’t bad mech but it is what it is.
The name however I really dislike.

It doesn’t even sound appealing.
And yeah yeah I get it I get it for 40K everything supposed to be gritty and all that but seriously?
Since every class has a short hand.
Psyker = Psyk, Veteran = Vet, Zealot = Zel.
Even the Ogryn skull crusher just called Ogryn.
Even the new class Arbites = bitees
But yeah Hive scum???

Just rename the class to Hive ganger and call it a day

But… they are hive scum. Hive ganger is just one type of Hive Scum. Hive scum is just a term for huge swath of the population of hive cities.

And various interesting things they get:
Dreg:
- Ambidextrous
- Thrown weapon training (Primitive) → Meaning using throwing weapons that aren’t grenades and stuff
- Pistol Training
Outcast:
- Peers (Workers and Underworld) → Personalities themed around those things ?
- Secret tongue (Gutter) → Maybe special voice lines
- Quick Draw → Reaction buff
- Blind Fighting → Maybe some dark map buff
Renegade:
- Street fighting → Using tools
- Heavy Weapon training (SP) →
- Leap Up → Movement skill ?
Rogue:
- Tech Use
Cutter:
- Heavy weapon training (Launcher) → rpg
There are a couple more careers advances but there aren’t that many more interesting things that are added to it.
Class names are irrelevant to me. Its what pet names the other classes use that concern me. I can’t imagine they will be as flattering as sweet brute.

I was unaware that the scum is an actual class in 40K.

That still doesn’t mean I have to like the name though.
