Because of some instances being client side vs server side, you can stand and move at certain ranges of an enemy, attack, leading to blood and audio queue of a hit, but not get a registered hit. The Chainaxe, because of this interaction, can also latch onto the empty space, and rev nothing, leading to get getting unjustly punished. I believe this might be one of the primary reasons that people think the Chainaxe, and to a lesser extent the other chained weapons, feel bad with latching. This is also noticable with the Headtaker blessing where sometimes you swipe, and latch, but dont get a stack of headtaker because somehow you hit nothing.
To reproduce this, you need to either make an attack on a unit running away or towards you, and very slightly mistime your attack, leading to a mismatched client v server side hit detection. Additionally, other players killing units you are attacking. This is difficult to test in a Psykanium because it mostly involve units moving.
