Carapace and dots

I have several immersion problems. One of them is dots on carapace enemies. I despise being able to bleed, burn, tox, blaze enemies with attacks that bounce from the armor. I would prefer attacks to only be able to inflict their respective dots when hitting carapace whith attacks with high rending/brittleness. If a target has 50% damage mitigation or higher through armor or shields, then dots should not apply.

I have issue with it too, why are dots more powerful than my chainsaw ripping through them? or my warhammer, or my thunder fury blessed blade of the windseeker? its just not right

Burn and bleed stacks do f…all to them, but Soublaze and Toxins are definitely questionable, even if SB is due to easily available rending.

You have no idea how much I agree with this. I really wish enemies had much of a presence, by not dying immidieatly, for instance. If every enemy from elite to chaff could take an extra hit before it killed them, the game would be completely different immersion-wise.
