# Can't buy cosmetics in game

Issue Description:  
Unable to buy cosmetics in game even with overlay enabled, verifying file integrity and living in the UK.

Error Displayed (If Applicable):  
Steam authorization failed. Error: \> - K\_EResultFail. Error code: 2

Steps to Reproduce:  
I just try and buy ANY item for real world currency in Lohner’s store and get this error.

Platform:  
Steam

Player ID:  
P4WNDZ0RZ

Approx. Time of Issue & Timezone:  
Around 2-3am GMT 11/08/23

Reproduction Rate:  
100%

Happens even with deleting the user\_settings.cfg to reset to default.

Weirdly enough, after restarting PC I have been able to buy the cosmetics. Idk if this was a Steam issue or the game, but there was definitely some issue lol.

I believe I responded to your support ticket, but I’ll drop a reply here too.

I’m glad to hear this resolved after restarting!

Historically, this issue tends to occur after players have recently enabled/disabled the Steam overlay. Waiting for a short period of time, or restarting either the Steam client/PC, like you did, _should_ resolve this.
