I don’t understand why these can’t be reused. They were popular events, add them into the regular rotation and always have two missions on Heresy through Auric as an “Event” mission.
Call them Special Ops, flash the in-game modifier description on the screen at mission start for 10s so console PUG players actually know what’s going on.
Maybe? Idk, never paid attention to that. I had my penances and weapons completed long before Radio Operator came out, I just play because Darktide combat is fun.
At this point it seems like they’ve cycled through every combination of enemy + modifier currently available in the game. I’d rather see fewer events, say like just 4 a year, one per season if they were a little more fleshed out and unique.
I’d rather not see Shock Troop Gauntlet or Hunting Grounds for the umpteenth time, just asking for a bit more variety. These listed events were fun and unique.
If these were regular modifiers and popped up about as often as darkness, pox gas, hunting grounds etc they’d be excellent. Fatshark has an utter hardon for removing content though.
I think they’re doing it because they want to slightly remix the event in the future and re-release it as a new event (like the one right now). It’s the only reason for them continuously removing content I can think of
