Blocking Users should work when not Hosting Lobbies too

It’d be really nice if users we have blocked would be unable to join lobbies that we’re not personally hosting. There are so many troll/unhelpful/toxic/selfish users that continue to spread a negative experience in this game and even if the host doesn’t have them blocked, we deserve to be protected from them nonetheless. Their being able to join can immediately sour a lobby because we know they’re going to make things difficult and we have no guarantee the rest of the lobby will notice/react to their behavior and rally a successful votekick.

There’s also the matter of trolls seeking revenge against a votekick by repeatedly trying to join and blast the team with a powerful Friendly Fire weapon and the Host might not know how to block in steam or due to the chaos of this game; be unable to open up their profile and Block them safely in time. If one user can block, it should be guaranteeing the safety of the lobby.

Right now, I’m actually taking a break. Even still, I’ve been trying to maintain the mods I’ve made for this game. I’ve started working on some projects and mods for older games I’ve neglected.

All the little issues with quick-play had been adding up to the point I rarely played without hosting, or I went into quick-play knowing it’s a gamble. Now, I don’t even bother playing unless it’s with players I know.

The only place I would go to play with randos is the official Vermintide 2 discord. I find being able to verbally communicate develops some rapport. Somehow I think it makes other players see you as a person, and not just another rando. It also makes team-play and communication go much smoother when you don’t have to use text or push-to-talk via VT2’s integration with Steam’s obnoxiously poor quality voice chat system.
