I’m trying to build a good VII and I already have some good blessings, but I wanna know your thoughts.

I see one called Decimator which seemed pretty OP. At lv4, it’s up to 50% power per 2 chained melee hits, but does it actually work as intended?

Thinking of gettin’ that and settle for Brutal Momentum lv3.

Kinda tired of coming here just to read drama and copium posts. Rather engage in something else while playing.

This is my favorite of all axes in the game and the Fat Shark balance winner of the category. I think it can get away without brutal momentum because of the pretty alright hitmass in heavy 1. I loop that with light 2 against literally everything. I have one with decimator and shred I use on my Zealot to quickly grind out my ‘kill X with melee’ contracts and it hacks enemies up. Constant ults. I don’t use the crit build, just the row 30 feat.

Shred is also good, especially if you rolled a high Crit Bonus and get the +5% critical chance Perk. You will wind up with roughly 50% crit chance, every second hit a crit.

This is what I use. I’d rather have +25% unarmored or infected, or even +1 stamina or block cost reduction instead of +25% Carapace, but it has 80% Mobility, and I dodge a lot. I also find a single +3 stamina curio fits very well with this kind of playstyle. Also because #BreakTheLocks

I find Headtaker easier to take full advantage of (get full stacks and keep them up, especially with Brutal Momentum) compared to Decimator. Especially if you are dodge-dancing and block-pushing a lot.

It’s not perfect but it doesn’t need to be.

OP asks about tac axes.
You suggested a combat axe.

This is bogus.
Again, OP asked about tac axes, but you are talking about the combat axe variant of the blessing (5 max stacks).
Do any kind of test and you will see that you do not need 10 attacks to get 5 stacks. Unless you miss a few times to lose your stack, you will need no more than 6 attacks to get 5 stacks.

The tac axe variant gets 10 max stacks, but also does not need 10 chained attacks to get max stacks.
The blessings require one attack to “start the chain” and any hit from following attacks will count towards the stack.
If you hit 5 (or more) guys at once with your second attack, you get 5 (or more) stacks from that attack.
The only time that a tac axe actually needs about 10 hits to get 10 stacks, is when your attacks only hit a single target. But in that case it would take 11 hits, not 10.

This was changed but then purposely reinstated.
So it is not a bug anymore.

Yet you proceed to comment on my post as if it was about tactical axe.

“Fixed a **bug** where Bull Butcher Mk III Cleaver and human Combat Axes dealt incorrect damage vs Maniac on some light attacks.”

@Flawless I’m not in any way interested in your polemics. I would very much appreciate if you didn’t call me out and instead focused on substantive comments, which I know you are capable of.

Because it seemed like you were confused about the weapon types, and because you did not state anywhere, that you would suggest to use a combat axe instead of a tac axe.

You initially talked about the tac axe in response to OP asking about the tac axe,
then you said that antax is **the best mk** (which indicates that you are still talking about tac axes, although this is a combat axe),
before proceeding to talk about 5 max stacks of the decimator blessing (which is for a combat axe)
but needing 10 attacks to stack it up (which would indicate that you are talking about the 10 stack variant for the tac axe).

I think my confusion about your post was justified.

As i said.
It used to be a bug.
It got fixed.
Then it was reverted.
So it is probably no longer to be considered a bug.

I did not say “this is wrong, you suck” or anything like that.
I pointed out the issues with your post, and explained how it actually is, so i am pretty sure that my comments regarding your post are of substance.

1. It was intentionally put back, so it is not a bug anymore.
2. Because it no longer is a bug, it should no longer be considered to be a bug.

Those two statements do not contradict each other in any way, so it seems like i made up my mind.
Not sure where you see an issue here.

They officially said it was a bug. They never officially said it was not. The difference is that this “bug” might get “fixed” some time in the future.

@Flawless Flawless I’m not mad. Just tired of this conversation. I decided to ignore you on this forum. Would you be so kind to do the same for me, please?

It is not 50% per 2 chained melee hits.
You gain 1 stack per chained hit, +5% power for each stack.
It stacks 10x, so you get +50% power at max stacks.

When the hit chain is interrupted, you instantly lose all stacks.
A chain is interrupted by pretty much anything that you could do with your weapon, other than hitting an enemy (missing an attack, delaying an attack for too long, blocking, swapping weapons).

The blessing claims that it grants a stack per “chained attack”, but that is not actually correct.
After starting a chain by hitting an enemy with your first attack, any HIT with a follow up attack will grant a stack.
So if you hit x guys with your attack, you get x stacks from a single attack.

In combination with brutal momentum, this means that a (semi) horizontal attack against a dense group of enemies can quickly stack the blessing up within 2-3 attacks.

* * *

If you intend to use push attacks, block cancel, qq cancel, or if you block relatively often, this blessing is not for you.
This blessing is good when you spam attacks at the enemy. Preferably when you can hit multiple targets each time.

If you intend to mostly use your axe as an anti armor weapon (so usually against single targets) i would suggest to use different blessings.

They officially said that it was a bug, and they “fixed” it by reducing the maniac damage on light attacks.

Then, **they intentionally reverted this** (and officially stated their intention to do so) after community complaints (since reducing the maniac damage on light attacks was a nerf).

Since the moment they intentionally changed it back in order to behave this way, it is by definition no longer a bug, because it now behaves as intended.

Nothing says “i’m not mad”, like personally attacking me and trying your hardest to find a mistake in my posts, after i corrected your mistakes.
