Picked up Helldivers the other day and popped back in here for the first time in a while just to see if anybody is talking about how good it is lol.
Been having a hard time explaining exactly how, but HD2 feels how I hoped Darktide would. They really sell the feeling that you’re involved in a big war alongside the entire playerbase in a way that Darktide just doesn’t.
Joined a group then next thing I know there are 30+ mortars on a defence mission and I am dying constantly to mortar fire as my screen shakes to hell. Then some guy superman flying in the air dropping constant 500KG bombs all over the place. All whilst they were invulnerable to damage. My FPS went to hell then moments later extraction comes and my game crashes. Then logged back in I suddenly see my resources are maxed out.
Chaos and confusion. Yea safe to say GameGuard does not work.
I mean few months ago I was playing Payday 3, then within few secs later the bank vault gets opened by a ghost and the bags of money are moving by itself to extraction like magic.
I mean, honestly, that sounds hilarious. As long as it was rare I wouldn’t mind a few moments like that. Especially if your super credits get maxed out
But I’m happy to stick around not only because I enjoy the game-play, but because ArrowHead has been actively building great community rapport with strong communication and ‘timely’ fixes. We’ll see how the content releases go, but I don’t feel like developer is ignoring the playerbase.
We can’t even get a basic roadmap from Fatshark, hell we can’t even get simple open dialogue…
Probably been posted before but don’t care not sifting through this whole thread.
Darktide >>> HD2 automatically by virtue of not forcing malware level anti cheat onto my machine. Just goes to show people whinge about anti consumer practices right up till they like a game enough to give it a pass.
Giving free aquilas to Xbox players is an absolute fart in the wind compared to forcing nprotect onto my PC when it comes to levels of anti consumer.
To be fair if this was the issue then you should have uninstalled/not bought darktide when it still used Easy anti cheat. It worked the exact same way.
I don’t mind people having issues with kernel level anti cheats(I sure have my own reservations on the subject), but realistically people should stop playing 80% of video games if that is their nr1 issue. Sadly its pretty much an industry standard at this point until the new AI stuff gets more popular.
