# Backend Error when Booting Game

Error - Backend Error

### Issue Description (Required):

When playing modded, I cannot play the game, only receiving a backend error. One of these mods is causing it, but I don’t know which one it could be. Error does not happen when playing vanilla, but I _really_ don’t want to play vanilla.

Yes, and I’ve tried disabling them

do you use weapon customization by any chance? if yes, there is a new requirement to have, you can find it on the description of the mod itself. which should fix this issue

Worked for me too.

For anyone else wondering what exactly the problem/fix is:

This mod here:  
[Extended Weapon Customization at Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Nexus - Mods and community](https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/277)  
got an update

and now requires this mod here:  
[MasterItems Community Patch at Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Nexus - Mods and community](https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/409)

If you run weapon customization without the newly required mod, you will get backend errors.
