Issue Type (Required):
Error - Backend Error
Issue Description (Required):
Since the latest update I’ve been hitting the Backend Error. I have done all the requested steps in previous posts and suggestion threads, including firewall disabling, antivirus (I can prove its not the network below), phone hotspot etc.
I have now reproduced this on a completely separate PC. Darktide was installed on my wife’s computer and successfully authenticated when launched through her Steam account. I then signed into my Steam account on the same computer and launched the same Darktide installation, at which point it immediately reproduced the same Backend Error.
Therefore, the behavior follows my Steam account rather than the computer or network. My wife’s Steam account successfully authenticates, while my Steam account receives the backend error on both PCs.
My console logs on my original PC show that service discovery completes successfully and the Fatshark production authentication endpoint is reached, but authentication returns HTTP 403 with {“message”:“Unexpected login error”}.
Could you please investigate the Fatshark account/authentication state associated with my Steam account/Steam ID? This now appears to be account-specific rather than a local installation or connectivity issue.
