How comes Arbitrator’s Supression Shield is as good at blocking overheads (even from Crushers) as ogryn’s Slab Shield - while you are being able to inflict at least the same amount of stagger (if not more), just tossing around armored elites left and right, AND cause two times more damage per second? While also having way faster attack speeds too, making using it way easier.
How does it even make any sense, not even balance-wise, common sense-wise? A puny little shield of a human is way better than big arse junk of metal of 2.5m giant? Ffs, nerf DLC classes back to normality at last - and I’m saying this as an owner of both of them.

Okay, I stay corrected - Arbitrator loses all stamina on blocking Crusher’s overhead, while ogryn loses about 2/3. My memory failed me it seems, or there were other effects in place when I tested last time.
Still, the rest still stands - their shields have enormous amount of utility already, tons of damage and stagger; they don’t need also to nullify all melee dangers like that to boot
I’m pretty sure they have similar stamina (og is +4 base arbites is +3) but you only get 50% stamina damage from an overhead with no BCR on ogg with shield while arbites gets block broken. Ogg’s is definitely a lot better for blocking even without that awful special.
It took about 2/3 or 3/4 of my stamina when I just tested. And even would that be true, it still would be nothing, Arbitrators never should have been able to block overheads from crushers at all, I would even reconsider Maulers, whether they could block theirs, with high stamina cost - but that’s about it. Arbitrators Shield + Maul combo already has tons of (actually useful) utility (AoE stagger on short CD), it deals WAY more damage, has way faster attack speeds. The most logical thing here would be to make it effective for mixed hoard clearing - while making its defense potential way worse than ogryn’s Shield then. The current situation makes 0 sense whatsoever, it’s pure p2w crutch as it is.

I’ve wanted some kind of rework for ogg’s shield for forever. Particularly since Fat Shark said they wanted to overhaul the special into something actually useful. I really hope that ship is still in port because I’d hate for this weapon to have a negative function in place of a weapon special for all time. But in Fatshark’s vision of gameplay balance Arbites clearly gets turbo damage to comp them for their different skillset from ogryn which is more support oriented.
