Unfortunately it’s not clear what could be causing this. Are any other errors displayed when this occurs?

To start with I’d recommend that you repair your anti-cheat service, Easy Anti-Cheat, using the _EasyAntiCheat\_Setup_ executable located here:

_C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat_

Error 23 is an error from Easy Anti-Cheat and indicates missing dependencies such as DirectX, GPU drivers, Windows updates, Visual C++ Redistributables. I’ve listed some potential solutions below:

- Firstly, please ensure the latest updates for Windows are installed.

- If that doesn’t help, I’d recommend that you perform a clean re-installation of your GPU drivers using the instructions below:

For an AMD card: [https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360021424673--PC-How-to-perform-a-clean-re-installation-of-your-AMD-GPU-drivers](https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360021424673--PC-How-to-perform-a-clean-re-installation-of-your-AMD-GPU-drivers)

For a NVIDIA card: [https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360021233554--PC-How-to-perform-a-clean-re-installation-of-your-NVIDIA-GPU-drivers](https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360021233554--PC-How-to-perform-a-clean-re-installation-of-your-NVIDIA-GPU-drivers)

- Next up would be to reinstall the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributables. Please uninstall the existing version (important!), reboot your PC and reinstall from the Microsoft website: [https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145](https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145)
