You cannot use them during missions which is a weird constraint. I saw them used few times, tried it myself few times. In my books it is a pointless gimmick.

Can you imagine going to a dead, empty mall and being told “Only now, weeks aftr opening, are you allowed to acknowledge other people in the lobby. But if you go into any of the stores or outlets or out into the parking lot then you better shut right up, pal! No interactions allowed!”
Cant wait to see them relaunch this game.

I’d use them on missions in elevators and the like, but we can’t. News to me if anyone is hanging around the Mourningstar socializing.
