Anotherception

Hey,

you guessed it, I had another one: I executed a mauler so hard it caused a crash. I don’t really know how I managed to do that, though

obligatory/mandatory ones: console-2021-03-16-10.13.03-e66bcc71-c081-4fc8-b6df-8028f287e409.log (810.7 KB) crash_dump-2021-03-16-10.13.03-e66bcc71-c081-4fc8-b6df-8028f287e409.dmp (1.6 MB)

Uh-oh. Thanks for the report again @Samoly

If you’re encountering fairly regular crashes, to see if you can improve stability it may be worth trying some of the solutions here:

Well, I do have 199 crash dumps from July 2018 to now. Console logs are another matter I’ve deleted a ton of them because they did take precious space from the infamous UI Tweaks Network Rework Console Bloating Incident :frowning:

Alright things I did/have done:

  • deep cleaned RAM aka the windows mem diagnostic (found nothing)
  • clean installed nVidia droivers
  • SFC did the impossible: downloaded onedrive shortcut to start menu 3 times
  • verify integrity found 195 files, but it made Steam download 1 GB of common redistributable files
  • reinstalled an older version of Visual C++ 2015 Redistributables
  • refuse to believe in shadowplay crashing, but I’ve disabled it :stuck_out_tongue:
  • I’ve reinstalled windows like 3 times in the past 2 years
  • Currently reinstalling Vermintide 2 for the first time, but I’ve moved it from one storage to another 6 times, so maybe it’s time to get ‘clean’ files :upside_down_face:

So after reinstalling Vermintide, the next crashes are most likely 29.3% due to something else than my silly PC

For future reference :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you and have a nice day

Sincerely,
Sam
