More content is great, and I am sure I am going to play this a lot as all previous things in Darktide. Though I want to use this occasion to ask the big question: you have the gigantic universe of Warhammer 40K at your disposal, yet mostly with major releases on the weapon side of things, you end up bringing new weapon marks to the table, rather than actually introducing new weapons. Anyone here knows what I am talking about. Melta-weaponry? Power fist? Some actual marksman/sniper weaponry?

I appreciate the different marks you are giving us the opportunity to swap around with. It does give the players more ways to approach the game, but honestly - you have such a possibility here. Please use it! Thank you for listening.

When I first heard about the Ogryn flashlight I got excited thinking that Fatshark were finally implementing weapon mods, which we know are possible thanks to modders. I really wish we could finally change optics, flashlights, etc. in the base game

Melta is an anti-tank weapon that probably isn’t going to see much use. Power fists would be nice, though, since we do in fact get a bunch of power weapons as ‘rejects’ anyway. Marksman weapons…we have them technically but enemy spam and map design makes them VERY niche.

Guessing the dueling sword is going to get an extremely merited smacking.

Power gloves are about the right power level for us and would be very cool. It might be a bit weird on an animation level though. Do you take it off and pocket it when you swap to your autogun?

But you dont have an opposable thumb on your third hand.

Oh, I know. But the fact they’re going to spend the manhours for idle animations and not have Greg the Lobbies Guy change a single digit is absurd.

Yeah I’m happy about a new wep but the flashlight thing is at the same time disappointing. So the wep has no special attack on it because they had to make it the token flashlight wep for lights out. Surely there has got to be a better way.

Let me ask you, will there be new blessings for weapons in the future? I would like a small buff of infantry assault rifles, especially Columnus, because 99 damage is somehow lower than the average with its heat of fire. For comparison, after the buff, the akkatran is now like a light machine gun, without recoil, with the ability to burn the enemy. Infantry submachine guns have too few blessings that enhance weapon damage. Why not give them a bleed (stacks) or fix a blessing on the rate of fire, because there is no difference now. Expecting to see the rate of fire as with the “master of weapons” perk, you get nothing, and it turns out that only dam-dam makes weapons… a good one.

My brother in christ Collumnus mk5 / Vrak mk5 Infantry Autogun has good crit chain ratio , good finesse modifier , its a aim for heads weapon not spray at horde within torso level and hope you dont magdump stuff cos you decided to not control the recoil

The Vet largely only gets weapons you’d see in a Guard tabletop infantry squad. While this can include cool weapons like Bolters and Plasma Guns, two handed melee weapons are typically not among them, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Vet got the pass on these.

I know that he shoots at heads, but accatran is 100 times better at it. Why? He has no recoil! Moreover, with critical shots, it also burns the enemy! And machine guns are worse than average, because reinforced ones are garbage, without accuracy and damage, and “infantry” ones are not powerful enough at the level of “reinforced” and not accurate enough at the level of accatran. If the weapon is “effective” when shooting at the head, then I have bad news, buddy, a bounty hunter machine gun- more precisely, a crit in the head. the bonus is higher. I need a machine gun to shoot both in the head and in the torso, because on the curse there are crushers and a scab-executioner on me, and there you need to do a lot of damage, so fight off the horde. Therefore, I suggested 1 of 2, 1) Give the blessing of “bleeding” on an infantry and reinforced machine gun, so that with long damage, the target receives damage over time, OR 2) Increase their damage or rate of fire (Agrippina 9, Columnus 11).

Finally a proper inquisitorial stormtrooper fit

And it’s gonna be earnable in game
By the emperor we’ve won
