noob use the block charge attack. 1h hammer does everything 2h hammer can only better and in half the time.
can’t deal with hyperstacking? pfff
There’s nothing wrong with 2h or 1h hammer, Iunno why ppl getting so incensed over it.
Exactly. Notice I prefaced my comment with “It works for me.”
I already mentioned the shove attack. Secondly, the charge attack is for elites. You need break points to hit one charge shots to the head for SV on Legend. For maulers you’ll be whacking them multiple times regardless. Your weapon unable to stagger reliably things like CWs.
You have the ability to spam left click and the ability to spam shove attacks. A weapon that’s at its height when the user is unable to make use of any other weapon proficiently. Which is why people like it. It’s easy to use.
And yes it can’t deal with hyperstacking. This isn’t a subject for debate. If you’re shelled up in a small area. And enemies start hyperstacking. If you have no place to go, you will die. The 2h hammer has no such weakness. It’s weakness instead lies in the ability to not deal with spontaneous changes in situation because it’s first charge attack that starts your stagger chain is slower and it’s push attack is weaker. You have to “deal” with hyperstacking the way other weapons do. By kiting back and praying the horde didn’t spawn in a location that didn’t afford you lots of room to manuver.
A method of preference. Calling 1H hammer a better 2H hammer is willfully saying that despite the pros of cons of each, you only know how to use one or the other. A really silly statement that I’m sure you’re not making right now.
Use DF pistol with the adequate traits to mow down hordes of cultists and slaves. Always be in front of your team and defend them. If you see a horde from far away start shooting them with DF pistol it will lessen their numbers for you and your team to finish the rest of them off. You should be using the DF pistols often vs hordes since it is a crow control weapon. Another thing is to try and funnel the hordes in a straight line and don’t forget to aim for the heads as well.
After some try, I am loving 2H hammer and Drake pistols.
All These comments on how the 1h Hammer is anything But an worse axe that needs heavy attacks against armour. Plebs…
No seriously they Buffet the 1h Hammer quite good. But if you dont feel good about dodging in your 150kg gromril plate i advise shields or 2 Hand weapons.
I still Use axe and shield mostly. Heavy attacks with them Start with an shieldbash that mostly staggers non Elites. Wich schouldnt be
A Problem for IB too doo
So with Out heavy attacks i like the fact that i actually am able too tickle all kinds of foes.
Wavecontroll is easy But you miss Out on kill Ing Power for sure.
That’s why i bring the flametrower.
If prepared for the Horde and not ambushed. You clear any Inc in Rekord time But pretty much all specials are a pain in the ass.
Really isn’t an issue though seeing that EVERY champ+legend runn hast an BH a kerillian with longbow. Rarely a hagbane and usually a bolt or beamstaff and 3 people that try too get These Red circles of /most kill/ special killed/
Ultimatly none should be able too compete with the shear numbers roasted by your flametrower But you get propably 1-2 special kills if any if you are able too dodge leeches
Hello i signed up today, didn´t read the timestamps and thought this be a thread of oure timeline.
sorry. i hope my mistakes towards these posts of the past wont alter the present
seeing it as the upper most post of Latest has fooled me
2h hammer and grudgeraker with scrounger
Practice with weapon swap animation cancelling with your hammer 1 attack to speed up melee animations.
Funneled hordes you can hammer disorganized hordes just use grudge and stagger/clear
You’ll do completely decent damage with this build while being an unequivocally safe pick and book holder for any team.
Edit: honorable mention to the 1h hammer, axe and shield for melee. Ranger drakefire with barrage are also decent.
