We are aware of a crash on launch (before operative select screen) affecting AMD 7000 Series GPU users following the Depths of the Damned 1.13.0 update.
Please rest assured we are working to resolve this issue as swiftly as possible.
In the meantime, as a workaround, please disable FSR upscaling in the launcher Settings.
UPDATE 07/10
After further testing, we have found another workaround to use FSR is to launch Darktide with FSR disabled, and to then select FSR 2.3.4 or 3.1.5 in game.
i think there is a newer driver that is not yet recommended. But if possible you can try it out and see if it makes any difference. Let us know if you do!
I have not yet reproduced this. So if possible please provide the settings in Adrenaline as well.
I am on 26.8.1 atm, RX 7700 XT, Win10. Didnt change anything, same settings in game, AMD panel, same drivers as before Darktide update, and i have to disable FSR in launcher to get in game. Will try later with 26.9.2.
didnt help but i did notice that all crash entries i found yesterday was on Windows 10 (im on 11) so could be related. Im talking with AMD since i think this is a driver issue that is out of our control (beside that we can disable FSR)
Darktide closes down when you press a key on the [press any key to continue] screen. It generates the following error code.
Steam Verify cache did not solve issue. %appdata% darktide folder removal did not work. Disabling mods did not work
I have tried downloading the FidelityFX .dlls from AMD SDK themselves and replacing them from the game files. Still crashes.
The issue occurs whether FSR upscaling is enabled in AMD Adrenaline or not.
Any suggestions?

The issue could be related to the following modules found in the stack trace:
module ‘amd_fidelityfx_upscaler_dx12’.
Like more than a few others over the past few days i’ve found myself with the amd_fidelityfx_upscaler_dx12 inaccessible error causing a crash to desktop immediately upon launch.
AMD chipset 26.8.1 (updated today) on an AMD RX 7800 XT.
Solution: open game settings from the launcher and disable AMD FSR 3.1 from my previously selected “Performance”.
