Am I the only one losing Legend 99% of the times?

you are right, 1.06 patch is truly a blessing

I really wish I had played V1 on cataclysm, or I’d know all that.

e: I really have no beef with any of the balancing changes to careers and enemies, I just feel they screwed up the director a whole lot

I’m not calling it a blessing. Merely stating that I don’t feel it destroyed or affected Legend much, if anything I’m glad it added more reward to bossmaps.

I’ve had to deal with the whacky AI director plenty of times myself but that’s been a problem from a few patches back already, not 1.0.6 related. If you’re talking about tuning the director however, that’s a different question. I agree that the director can use another tuning pass.

I strongly believe different users are getting different degrees of bugginess. As some people seem to have the sentiment that it’s about the same while for others, the director insanity is through the roof.

I mentioned it somewhere else but I noticed, even before 1.0.6, that we could have dozens of perfect runs in a row then someone would leave and a new person would join. In every run with the new person, the director would be utterly psychotic. Then, if that person left and someone else joined, the director seemed to behave differently. This still seems to be the case but the game leans more towards psychotic these days, which leads me to believe either I’ve become one of the “cursed” ones, or someone I regularly play with has, or that a variety of people have in general. Iunno… there’s no rhyme or reason to the behaviour I’m seeing exhibited in the game. It’s just totally haywire.

The current state of every single match I’ve had since 1.0.6 hit is considerably worse than even the most stacked deeds.

OK, this makes sense to some degree. Maybe related to the PC specs of host?

How dare you, I played V1.

I have no idea. One friend I play with has a weaker rig and if he hosts we’ll get crazy but weird bugginess, like sometimes when hordes are at their peak, the entire horde will just run past us then turn around and come back. Or sometimes if there’s a massive amount of enemies on the screen they’ll just stop running and stand there for an awkward amount of time.

I have a relatively beastly rig and ever since 1.0.6 when I host, the director feels like it’s on crack. It almost feels like way back when some games were tied to your processing speed and you’d have to turn “turbo” off on your computer to run them properly.

Bwah??

Im just messing with Nova :stuck_out_tongue: <3

@Avar See I don’t entirely disagree with this sentiment, since some Beta players seemed to experience some rather unique BETA-syndromes in terms of how the game would treat them right after release. Myself included in some of them where I had to make a ticket.

Noticed this with some friends hosting as well, I have a fast computer compared to some of them and sometimes a horde will spawn and a few of the previously ambient trash will just stand there and take hits to the face, often staying dormant until you’ve stood still for a few seconds just to see if they’d come alive.

I’ve also noticed my veteran drop rate has gone to garbage again. After they upped it dramatically I got reds regularly. Never the ones I wanted but the drop rate was reasonable. Since 1.0.6 I’ve not gotten a single red from any chest type. There’s no way to tell on my end if I’m bugged but it doesn’t feel right. I mean… with the current rates where they are, it’s not so low I should be getting red-starved again.

payday 2 was like this. my group of friends absolutely hated when i hosted old death wish or one down.

i don’t really think it’s the case with V2 though, it seems all over the place or that something is breaking triggers. going back to the war camp screenshot i posted earlier, a pub we had aggro’d a chaos patrol in the very first area and left the game as he died. the patrol reset (which as far as i know shouldn’t happen, they should chase everyone) and the map was completely broken from that point, and quite literally nothing other than ambients spawned.

ever since the droprate changes people were crying for all I’ve gotten is blues and greens, from all the level up and emperor chests I’ve gotten. I used to be out of greendust but slowly getting starved for decent orange/gold drops let alone reds. When I do drop a decent orange it tends to be sub300 as well .__.

Only on Legend have I gotten consistently decent drops ( as it should be ) but I dont know how it works for others in that regard.

Yeah on legend I’ve been getting more blues and occasionally a green from gen/emp. A lot of sub-300 exotics here too.

Since the patch hit, the entire feel of everything has shifted dramatically. It’s not in a clear way I can outright point to but something is just not right.

People who run speedruns have been saying that the director will spawn less waves if your pc sucks. So essentially the process is easier for people with potato pc’s as compared to those with decent machines

I’m fairly sure this has something to do with the legendary director dilemma as well.

have to agree, especially since you’re going for full book runs. I used to get 3x orange for those, now I’ve had plenty of 3x green and 3x blue boxes… whats the point even for getting books if that’s what I get?

This would explain the large disparity in anger levels right now, and why some people are like “what’s the problem?” while others are like, “hahaha please just f’ing kill me.” This would also make effective playtesting nearly impossible.

pretty sure they get less spawns as a last man standing mechanic, that way the last person doesn’t have to deal with a ton of disablers and can save a run. potato PC thing might be real but i’ve got a beefy PC and don’t really get many spawns when i do handmaiden/shade sneaky runs.

as for the boxes, the sub 300 thing does feel weird. i get more 300’s out of commendations and champion boxes than legend boxes, not that i’m needing 300 items anymore. never really see greens, but do get a decent amount of blues.

Slightly OT but this is also why pure RNG is a garbage loot system. No way to tell if it’s actually working or not. Someone could be bugged and play a million hours and not know it.

this also makes a lot of sense… I’m just trying reach some solid conclusion as to what the hell is going on
