It’s similar in terms of the fact the only shield to compare it to is the slab shield and the majority of weapons parallel the vet.
To be honest with you, when they released the magistratum skins and the shockmaul for veteran I was starting to believe that the veteran might slowly turn into the arbites.

Arbites is an unrelating, high impact melee powerhouse. You ahould always be at the very front ragdolling the horde. This class has been my main since launch, I love its identity.
Try running left Keystone over right if you haven’t, it boosts your damage substantially more. The CDR subnode is enough for perma-BTL buff.

lets not forget warhammer is lore driven franchise which includes darktide too sure a lot of people view it as storyless shooter and i understand that especially since lore was pretty lack luster and confusing until recently but still its a game set in lore heavy franchise the reason im saying this is becuse it applies to arbites existing in game them being on atoma prime makes perfect lore sense add the fact they in themselves have really cool lore, personalities, dog and sexy ass armor and that should honestly be enough of a reason for them to be added becuse without its lore accuracities and lore additions (which includes stories of new classes even their/your characters individual stories) darktide would be nothing and 40k in general wouldn’t exist.
if this isn’t convincing enough then lets just say they’re also jack of all trades and master of the best one, durable and tanky class you can play for fun, imo a good lore in class is more important than some special skill to me, hot take i know.
