The yellow boxes get a bit boring after a while. Would be nice to see some new designs for boxes.
Honestly this is a good idea, and I think even having different ones for different or limited time modes, wherein you have a higher chance to find items that help with that modifier or mode would be a good way to make them feel worth opening. As it stands most people on Auric are comfortable enough with the difficulty that they just ignore all yellow boxes and charge objectives.
Maybe even have some trapped chests? Maybe a shock trap or a pox bomb with time to dodge? Would make things more exciting.
I freaking hate that. I need plasteel and I need grenades. Can I do it with my sword? Yes. I need plasteel and I WANT grenades.
I feel like one thing other horde shooters are better at is incorporating materials and resources into objectives. In darktide they could be a reward for completing objectives, instead of a side objective you have to run off and effectively sabotage your team to get on higher difficulties.
they have 2 varieties of boxes in expederpshuns. I’d like to see those smaller boxes replace some errant pick ups to make them harder to miss. especially the ones tucked behind a corner
But the awful 3s delay before getting the contents should leave, honestly I hate that the most of all elements in that mode currently. I can forgive a lot of the stuff designed to waste time but that?
I think it’s part of the game legibility, having more types of boxes could be found annoying by players that just want to play tide combat, where they would have to look more attentively toward finding boxes than rn.
Good idea!
A Picklock Box with serious Amounts of Diamantine and Plasteel! Like one per Map, rotation on fixed Places to search for. Since Fatshark want us to experience the whole Map anyway for every little Plasteel and Diamantine anyway!
Yeah maybe a safe or something where players have to defend the player picking the lock, and each player get’s a relatively large pay-out.
Nah, I’d be there by myself while they run full tilt without looking back.
I am against this.
I don’t see it necessary.
IMO.
