I don’t want to see console players in the game because they don’t know how to play and just camp at the spawn; I want the option to finally exclude them from Quick Play matchmaking.
Their behavior is extremely obnoxious; they don’t turn off their microphones. Why should I have to listen to them farting or coughing into the mic, or hearing the game audio loop back through it? You really need to implement a reporting feature for inappropriate behavior I’ve already had to block dozens of these players.
If you don’t want to hear people in game just be in a discord call or just tell them you can hear stuff they usually go ‘oh shoot my bad’ or ‘you can hear that?’
I don’t know about that, I met several who are mechanically good.
On other hand, number of console players able to control their mic settings is super small. Another day, different game, I had some Xbox player eating crisps (that is chips for you Americans) so loudly I could guess texture and brand just by the constant stream of audio coming from the other end.
That’s honestly surprising. I’m on PS5 and mostly live in sad envy that I don’t have access to mods. God what I would give for the salvage mini map as ai grind out the Salvage Lord penance.
One (probably stupid) question because I have no clue about how playing with consoles looks like i.e., what options you have/ don’t have etc.
Every now and then I also have this issue that a player has his mic on and you can constantly hear their breathing, munching or even the whole family in the background! I usually have my microphone turned off. I don’t use VC. What I do is writing a short chat message but in nearly 100% of all cases it gets ignored. My question (assuming that these are console players): Can’t they see the chat messages?
Like sometimes I’ll will repeatedly use the chat wheel ‘need anmo’ or ‘need healing’ the chat message pops up my character yells but I have to do this continuously for several minutes before the crate holder notices
On PS5 you can if they haven’t disabled the combat log. Honestly I don’t know why more PS5 users don’t implement the PS5 system option to auto mute the controller on start.
I have this enabled and it’s so nice just starting a multiplayer game and seeing the yellow mute light in my controller. If I want to disable it I just click the light to unmute/remute.
quit consoles for “playing” shortly after ps2 when beat em ups and survival horror titles like silent hill took a turn for the worse.
ps3 was my blu ray player at the time.
but under no circumstance would i ever consider playing a first person shooter with a gamepad on hardware that barely runs 60 fps
every saved goes into a new rig or upgrade parts every few years so i can keep my hobby at the level i deem “standard” and neither have to suffer frame drops beneath 144 (capped) nor miss a 180° flickshot with a mouse which feet have been customized to glide on the same material the pad has with the slightest of friction possible.
theres things in life that aint negotiable, the car can leak oil for all i care, my fps and performance is sacred
solution to the problem though “whoareyou” mod and skip any lobby that has the xbox or ps5 logo.
statistically over a couple thousand matches though, yes ps5 logos had the worst performance and the most leavers in auric maelstrom and above
make of that what you will, i didnt pick any preferences for lobbies and just made an average observation.
we got a lot of the short end in order for the devs to receive some sony which forever will fuel my hate for it even more.
not only the non optional console players (which could be worked around by mod) but had to suddenly and after 2 years uncensor my game for whatever reason some dikhead saw local age restriction and didnt read the fine print.
meaning normally if a media passed (not that one would bother anyways and go for the uncensored version straight away anyhow) there’s no need to re-apply to any bunch of yahoos to “protecc da children”.
so since ps5 reared its head i need to run a mod so i can continue dismembering corpse on the floor which, much like my gamer breakfast, is a daily routine to stimulate my gore reliant senses
