A few complaint's or suggestions you could take it either way

  • Bot’s suck
The AI of bots is just plain bad.

The way they prioritize getting you up as opposed to clearing out the immediate area so while there is a horde ontop of your corpse they don’t just run in and die.

They can’t make simple jumps. My unborn child can jump further than the bots.

The big one in this list for bot funtion however, is the fact that they don’t pick up texts, this honestly kills it and by it I mean the game. ( Literally waited in a game for 45 minutes for someone to join because the only reason I joined the game to begin with was to get scriptures for the weekly quest. Noone joined, I quit the game and here I am. )

Read a few reddit posts most of which were joking about the “complexity” of the coding involved in making bots pick up texts like they don’t already have the coding written out from vermintide 2 many lol’s were had.

Heard some complaints from people saying they don’t want bots to pick up texts because what if they pick up a grimoire and a player joins and the bot counts as “dead” and you perma lose a grimoire. Quick fix for that argument, there is actually a few fixes for that argument.
Don’t count the bot as “dead” transfer the bot’s 3rd slot item to the new player.
You could even do what you do for scriptures, and when someone takes the place of a bot in game, the 3rd slot is dropped on the ground.

Bottom line is bot’s need a command to pick up texts because it’s literally a game breaking mechanic that they can’t.

-Hadron’s shop should be fully active I don’t see what the hold up is, and realistically the entire crafting system needs to be revamped to shadow Vermintide 2’s. You had it right the first time, why change it? The majority of players on darktide are Vermintide 2 players. Why try to reinvent some system that had nothing wrong with it before?

Another Big One.
-The matchmaking system needs to be tweaked in a way that games that have been running and are missing players are put on an increase on the quickplay join. This is a multiplayer game, there is no reason for someone to be in a game for 45+ minutes with 3 bots. ( Like I literally just was ). Especially games that have secondary objectives that take more than 1 player to do, such as texts. The longer the game is open, the higher priority it should be in on quickplays join for that tier of match.

-The weapons shop is a mess
I heard it was based off of your current item levels/gearscore.
Having 2x 490+ weapons on my Zealot and 3x 100+ curios while I still get 350 purple weapons in the shop, and roughly 80ish curios determined that was a lie.

Quick fix for that would also be along the same path as fix the crafting system to mirrior Vermintide 2’s.

Another quick fix would be to actually base it off of your characters gear score. Why would I want to wait around for a shop to switch it’s buy menu only to be shown items that are below my current item level. The answer is, I wouldn’t.

Something else while we are on this topic, Blessings should have a threshold based on gear score.
So when you get a new say … Evicerator that if it’s over gear level X the blessing on it should be at X. Getting a 490+ Evicerator with a 4 shred instead of 5 should be straight up criminal.

-Emperor’s gifts
There should be a way to filter out garbage. Like how other games have auto loot functions. If your gift is under this level and isn’t this rarity and isn’t this perk or blessing don’t even give it to me. Give me some Diamantine instead or something based on the level of the item.

I know the game is new, and just launched. But when you have this many people who are actively playing it. Not to mention a cosmetics shop that takes real money which could be akin to straight up robbery considering the old cosmetic system from vermintide 2. The amount of money that is being gouged from the player every week, while I know some people myself included who still crash every here and there and the last actual update we had was almost a month ago is a little bit whack. Now I’m not against supporting gaming companies. But I like to see some serious progress being made. The majority of what I’ve listed down has been complained about since launch and not a single thing has been done about any of it.

If you do want to do lower level scrip or grim runs for Melk quests, people on the Discord seem to form groups for that fairly regularly (Haven’t checked in awhile so idk if that’s still the case). Its far from a perfect solution, but until we get the “much better and improved single player experience” FS has talked about its really the best solution I have.

It’s just sad because that’s the only other option their is, short of wasting your whole day waiting for someone to join your game. Not to mention seeing as it is that bad, FS should probably take that into consideration. Wonder if there is anywhere to see daily logins and how much it’s gone down since launch.
